The longer version of Virginia International Raceway looks great. It is great to see V.I.R. up and running again!

The rest of the tracks, well...... The Perth track looks like rubbish to me. I could be wrong, but it seems like there are too many constant radius corners,

You needn't worry about the iffy design of the Perth track - it isn't going to be developed.

Have you heard that officially Speed Demon?

I mean, I know they never started working on it (it was meant to be ready for this year...), but I never heard anything official. Pretty poor looking design really anyway.

I had an email from a correspondant in Australia who said it was reported over there that it was not going to happen. Can't remember where though. I think the fact that we have heard no more from the Formula Nippon organisers backs this up.

OK, so no official annoucement then, perhaps. It has just disappeared without a trace it seems. I never expected it would go ahead, such a featureless circuit designed for an out of place racing series

One more to look out for is a possible new circuit in South-East Queensland, with several sites being evaluated, with the front runner at this stage being in Kilcoy... stay tuned for details
