Stoke Row & Nuffield Motosport Day

Iain Rowley is again organising a motorsport day for charity on 15th June, the event is at Nuffield near Henley. Anyone who would like to help please PM either myself or Fay. The day is family orientated so if you have children you can bring them along. For more information look on the Historic Forum or the website. Please support Iain as he is a great supporter of marshals and arranges a BBQ for marshals at the Silverstone Classic.

Below is an extract from the website :-

"There will be a wide range of attractions to enjoy at the Stoke Row and Nuffield Motorsport Day, from things to look at and admire to activities in which both adults and children can get involved.

The centrepiece of the show will be the display of historic and modern racing cars and motorbikes, along with some mouthwatering classic cars, many of which will have been getting some exercise in the Maharajah’s Tour during the morning. There will be a “Best in Show” prize for the car which gets the most votes from the junior visitors. There will be stalls selling motoring books and memorabilia and a chance to visit the Delta Motorsport workshop, just across the road from the main show site.

For those who are after a more “hands on” experience there is the Pit Stop Challenge, where teams can get together and try to change the wheels of a racing car in the fastest time. The youngsters aren’t forgotten either - there will be a Soap Box Derby in the field opposite the show. Delta Motorsport will be building a Soapbox Car which will be available for anyone to use, but how about building your own car and showing the professionals how it should be done."

Here's a link to the website itself - hopefully I'm not breaking any rules by putting up a link to the site...
