Invincible should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Touring Car World Cup

So in 1993-94-95 there was a Touring car World Cup, I think
Track and winners

1993 Monza PAUL RADISICH
1994 Donington Park DON'T KNOW (CAN SOMEONE TELL ME!)
1995 Paul Ricard FRANK BIELA

But would you want to see it return?

1994 was Radisich again.

Love to see it back again, at Donnington obviously, but it's not very likely until a few more countries adopt the same regs.

Absolutely, but not until there are ETCC/BTCC regs around the world again.

It definatly should return, but as has been said above, only when enough countries adopt it.

The world Cup was meant to be held in US in 1996, but something ahppened there, and Kyalami (or Helsinki?) was meant to host the 1998 World Cup, but neither happened, and neither did the 1999 World Cup, which was supposed to be the Bathurst 1000.

Maybe a world cup with different categories perhaps?

By the way, I wonder if any touring car championship will adopt the V8 Supercar regs? I mean, they've been great in Australia, why not in the rest of the planet?

DNQ, the main reason is sales. Australia has V8s because Holden and Ford sell those cars over there. In Britain, the only V8 saloons that I know and the Holden HSV and the MG ZT Extreme.

Yeah, I suppose. Anyone for V6 Supercars?

I would love to see the World Cup back. We would really have a "world touring car champion" instead of the individal championships' champion. It would also convince some drivers who have left the sport to come back.

Paul Radisich won 2 of the 3 world cups!!
