GP coverage in NZ
I have just booked a 3 week holiday of a lifetime in New Zealand this summer, and then realised that I will be in wellington on the weekend of the British Grand Prix!
I'm sure you can understand my distress! I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the coverage is like for Formula 1 in New Zealand and if I have any chance at all of seeing the BGP without setting my video and watching it 2 weeks later!!! |

Hey mcrane...I just came back from a year at Uni down in NZ...last season every GP was shown live on TVNZ Channel one, it's not cable or anything so if you have access to a TV you should be able to get the race. No qualifying though, unless they just recently added it for this year. Just get the time conversion right and you'll have no probs watching the race live, their quite big on F1 down there.
Cheers buddy and have a great time in NZ! It's an awesome place! Last edited by TeddyG; 20 Mar 2004 at 04:11. |

Doesn't it seem sad that drivers like Fisichella, Coultard, Barrichello, and Ralf all have secure seats in F1, despite having had race winning cars for many more seasons than Jacques, yet failing to chalk up as many wins as he (let alone a WDC) that it is Jacques who doesn't have a drive in F1??? Sad indeed. |

Dont worry...The British GP will be live here I'm sure. It has been for the last few years. We get most GP's live apart from the Malaysian and Japanese. No qualifying coverage though .
Oh and I'm sure you'll love Wellington Last edited by devil racer nz; 20 Mar 2004 at 04:09. |

Yeah Wellington is a great city; you'll love it.
You just have to get up at midnight to watch the racing; no worries if you don't have to work the following day or have small children around! |
