Powertour - Qld Raceway June 23 & 24
The Australian Powertour makes its first appearance in Queensland next weekend. The headline act is the Australian Truck Racing Championship and NASCAR stock cars. Support events are Saloon Cars, HQ Holdens and Daewoos.

Well there has been some advertising and it worked too. I was listening to Ipswich radio today and when I heard how cheap the admission is I rang and told my Dad (a Truckie and race fan) and we decided to go out and spend the day on the hill.

Yeah, there were a few punters on the hill, and it was advertised as a Sunday event, so tomorrow should be huge. I'm absolutely rapt that they are using circuit B... the trucks really did but one some quality racing, because the cross over is an absolute dog, and the turn 4/5 complex is fairly tricky. The V8 Stockcars were very close at the front, and there was 1.95 seconds from P1 tp P16 in the Daewoos. The Saloon Cars were really very very close at the front, and the HQs had their moments. Tomorrow is going to be great
