Pageant Of Power
Anyone volunteered to do the Cholmondeley Pageant Of Power?
Never heard of it before, so guess this is the first time it's been run? Guessing it's not far from Oulton http://www.pageantofpower.com/ |

Thanks for posting the link - there was something about it in Autosport last week, and I've been meaning to look it up. It looks as if it could be really good, and I'm free that weekend, so I feel a trip back home is in order.
Am I right in thinking we volunteer through BARC for this? |

I think you're correct about applying through BARC - they recently sent me a request for marshals which included this particular event (which I can't do). Suggest you contact Becki at BARC?

Yes the BARC are the ones to volunteer to.
A volunteering form was sent to me last week, but apart from that, no further details. |

some of us will have to try harder than others!
Um, Becci is on holiday for a week, so anyone know who else might be able to handle the volunteering? |

Just heard from Becci, anyone doing the superkarts at Oulton on the 26th May will get an additional volunteering form for this meeting with their finals. Anyone not doing that meeting but wanting to do the PoP (!) should contact Becci directly, her email is on the BARC site.

Has anybody had any info/tickets/finals for this one yet? I will be taking along a few family members and wondered how many guests passes are included.
If any are going spare ... |

Someone was asking if it's near Oulton Park, it is, just down the road, probably only another 5 - 10 mins drive at the most with a clear road. They hold a openair classical music concert with fireworks etc each year and I've been for the last 5, noticed a couple of years ago (before I started marshalling) that we past Oulton Park on the way.,
I'm fairly sure this is the first year they've held this event tho, I certainly never saw any adverts for it on any of my previous visits. The grounds themselves are nice, so it should be a good day out (weather permitting of course!). I've volunteered for the saturday as I've got other plans for the sunday, so should see people there, I'll apologise in advance for any newbie annoyances I cause! LOL |

I still haven't got my tickets . Can someone please let me know what time sign on is, as I need to decide if I'm camping or staying at my parents (and I need to let them know if I'm staying there!).

Sadly, can't now make this event . I enjoy inaugural events (did first ever meeting at Rockingham, Champ cars at Rockingham, RoC at Wembley) but i'll be thinking of you all in the sun whilst i'm enjoying all inclusive hospitality in the Caribean.

They are running a shuttle bus service from the marshals parking area to the posts as it says there is no parking on/at posts. When I get home tonight I'll try and remember to post the final instructions up. |
