It looks alright but Why?

For sandown & bathurst only? Promoting "team Australia" in Australia has some merit with regards to indy, but to forfeit the prominant "WPS" signage is a major cut in branding.... Certainly to make "team australia" champcar and "team Australia" V8s increasingly look like the same team heading into Lexmark 300 has got to be a good thing to get the general public supporting team australia, and really building the brand massively , (and as a side bonus lots of team australia mercho to be sold at indy?).

Don't worry. If last year is anything to go by they'll make up the shortfall in WPS Safety Car appearances.

Imagine Besnard driving the safety car........they would probably need a couple of spare cars , just in case.

I think that they should drop the Team Aussie livery and do a WPS/Fish Liqour combined livery, (like the TKR/ PMM combined livery) and put the Team Aussie livery on both car #8 and #48 at the Indy 300

Wasn't the whole idea of this team to promote WPS?

Ok, the Fish Liquor think was an interesting sponsorship development, but at least it was another business. The Team Aus branding is a real head scratcher however. What are they trying to sell? The Aussie Vineyards wine? Is that even being sold here? (I thought not).

Abit of cross promotion between Champcar & V8's is great to see

It doesn't surprise me that Gore is attempting to introduce a new legion of fans (ie. Champcar) to V8 supercars biggest race, the bathurst 1000. He has said on previous occasions that the two series should work closely together in breaking the Asian market.

Maybe we'll see bigger things to come of this? ....Maybe not?

Well yes Gore's main reason of coming into motorsport was to promote WPS....maybe he is starting to become a fan of motorsport!?

Gore liking motorsport? That would have to mean that he has feelings wouldn't it? I doubt that very much.

Liveries will still be WPS and Fish Liquor for Sandown; and WPS and Team Australia for Bathurst and Indy.

Is it an expensive exercise to paint up a car just for a test day, then paint it back for Sandown, then repaint it for Bathurst and Indy, then back to WPS colours for the remaining 2 races ?

Or do they have a spare car floating around ?

Not that I am aware of. Would seem to me #8 will be TA for both the 500 and 1000.
