2006 LMS entries.......
News about possible entries for next year are starting to filter through so I thought I'd get a thread up and running.
And I'll kick of with news just posted on DSC that they understand a UK based team is planning a two car LMP1 project for 2006. They understand the cars have been ordered and are full new regs LMP1's rather than hybrids. The assumption therefore has to be that we will see the cars campaigned in the LMES (and probably Le Mans, entry permitting). We will just have to wait for anything more specific about this project. |

I'll try to put an initial list together over the next couple of days.....
In the meantime, do we know anything about RFH's plans for 2006, apart from the suggestion that they would return in 2006 with a new car(s) and new engine package? I know he's been busy with A1 but really, priorities Jan........ There was also talk of Chamberlain going LMP1 with an all female driver lineup. And was there a suggestion that RML would go LMP1? Then there's Kruse motorsport. LMP1 in 2006? |

I would say that those that have the Lola B05 (RML, etc..) would most likly stay with the car in LMP2. At Petit, Intersport proved what the car was able to do.
Heres a question....What will Courage have in 2006?...the C70? If this is true...we could see Kruse move up. |

Kruse? If somebody asks him to make a LMP1, why not. Think he doesnt owns the cars, the AER powered car is owned by barazzi, the judd powered by benett.

We dont really have a lot of confirmed entries for 2006. Let me try and cover the LMP1 and LMP2
LMP1: -2x Factory Joest Audi's -Creation Hybrid -Courage LC70 -Pescarolo Hybrid -Jota? -Racing for Holland LMP1 -New Zytek? LMP2: -2x Kruse Motorsport Courages -2x Belmondo Courages? -2x Chamberlain Synergy Lola's (one for the girls) -2x Noel Del Bello Courages -2x Rollcentre Radicals -RML MG Lola -Horag Lista Lola -Gforce Courage? -PIR Pilbeam? Could Chamberlain or RML be the british team with the new LMP1's for next season? I dont know, but those would be two logical choices to race in P1 next year with the new Lola B06/10's. |

I've heard nothing about Nasamax for months now. An all new LMP1 for 2006 was the plan! Their website is still live but hasn't been updated since early this year. And nothing on the KWM site to to suggest there's anything in the pipeline. Is this project now dead?

But most intriguing was a paragraph (and I hope DSC will forgive me for posting this word for word) which reads "....... thinks that a deep, dark LMP1 project actually be for real. A certain ALMS gadfly was actually spotted in Paris - yes, France, not Texas - deal-making for the mystery constructor. Target? The grid at Sebring." ....deep, dark....? The rumoured Wiet Huidekoper project? |

The Italians seem to believe Jota are most likely to be campaigning the LMES with a Courage (P1) in 2006!!
Do we have any Italian members who could elaborate on the article on Racingworld.it which can be found here? |
