O'Schumacher should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Peter Dumbreck

Peter Dumbreck,

Winner in FVauxhall jr, Completely dominant in FVauxhall (beating both Justin Wilson and Ricardo Mauricio), a winner in british F3, a champion in Japanese F3, and now a forgotten man driving a year old Merc in the DTM.

How did he never get an F1 test when Antony Davidson had one when he was only 3 months out of FFord? Clearly there is no point dwelling on this, but he surely deserves another chance in single seaters, maybe Dallara Nissan or Premier 1 when it gets underway.

Who knows... motorsport works in mysterious ways. He's not doing to bad for himself in DTM now though even though this years car is a year old i'm sure the money's not too bad.

he will be lucky to get on the podium. Persson may be good but this years car is completley new, not just updated. The DTM is too competitive for year old cars.

erm, Davidson has got actual talent? Ok, More objectively, remember there was that moment when Button 'fast-tracked' to F1 and then so did Kimi, generated a sponsor-pleasing media frenzy and thus it became the done thing for F1 teams to look around and cherry pick the guys they believed had real potential (talentwise and corporatewise) and nurture them as test drivers, see:- Sato,Davidson,Briscoe,Courtney, etc. Dumbreck missed out on that trend when he was doing his junior winning.

I must say also, if Dumbreck was truly F1-worthy he would have mopped the floor with those old codgers in the DTM. (Remeber Franchitti couldn't either and after that crappy Jag test a while back he ain't ever going F1)!

I think sonic is getting a bit carried away again . Not to sure if Dumbreck has showed the kind of form that Raikonnen had showed in junior formula ? Anyway , he is still very good , and it has been shown in the past that there is many different routes that can be taken to F1. Just look at Zonta or even Webber .
