Peter Brock on 7
Peter Brock said on Channel 7 this morning that he tried to get a dive at the Bathurst 1000 but it was to political and the powers at be just wanted him signing autographs if they think that’s all he good for why have they put him in the 24hour race. It will be interesting to see what time in the car he gets given there are three other drivers Jason Bright, Todd Kelly and Greg Murphy.

Maybe Brock will start the event, and cross the line to take #10, spending the rest of the time in #7 commentary central....
Stranger things have happened, and if it happens again, it will be a very sad day |

Is PB still contracted to #7? It isnt likely that PB will continue in the Monaro in 2004 either....

Holden and PB are having issues in the background.... I hope it all surfaces after the 24hr, but perhaps it might not.
PB isnt not pleased at not being able to run a 3rd PWR VY at Bathurst, despite being assured early in the year that this was certainly possible and probable and likely! |

Hmmm - PB will be at a meeting I am attending on Wednesday evening - wonder if I should take Bev aside and ask a few questions - or for a private chat?

I have a pretty good relation with both Bev and Peter over the years - I will ask but won't push it or strain a friendship...

Of course... what I havent fathomed is whether the 'megateam' in MN in the last (not current) edition has any relationship to PB... Its a real deal and ready to come to a racetrack near you, but nobody is talking

Do Holden have a choice in who drives the Monaro, isn't it Ross Palmer's car?
If Brock was ever going to move to Channel 10, he would have gone there by now. |

Does anyone here really think that Brock has the goods to win a Supercar event today? I mean the competition is so much closer to when he was driving. Don`t get me wrong I grew up and PB was my absolute GOD but does he really have what it takes to win Today. It would be great to see him win ten but I don`t see it possible even if he co-drove with Ambrose.
Saying all that if PB wants to drive a FORD then please do, I`d like to see that. |

Holden or HRT don't want to see if Peter Brock still has it what we want to know is why don't they won't him.
Channel seven are sacking a lot of staff at the moment so anyone wanting to leave would not have much trouble. Kerry Stokes needs to get his costs down as 10 are beating him. |

No - as I said - have known and been able to speak to both of them over a number of years - if they don't like a question, they will say so.
As long as you respect the answer there is no problem. |
