30 Odd entry for Knockhill is pretty misrable. Rally car class does not seem to have taken off.
Will the event even run with such a small entry ? Given all the talk on the other thread on how much circut hire is. |

It's only the first time the rally car class has been used, if it's given a chance it may be worthwhile. Has it been advertised around the rally championships? If nothing else it could be used for some extra mixed surface testing.

You may well be right Bert it does bring at least another 10-15 entries to a irish event.

Hi all
Just to confirm, both Knockhill and Pembrey will run, regardless of the entry size. Rallycar class looks very promising, especially north of the border. We have been scuppered by the Tour of Mull that has taken a number of the cars that expressed an interest in the class. I think we can safely say that the BRDA will continue with the class for 2005, supporting the clubman's championship. I understand that Flyin Flynn chap is taking an interest in the class too, with his 205 and BMW rally champs. |

If the rally car class could be used as a championship event for one of the rally championships that might bring more entries (although I'm not sure what you'd do with the co-drivers ). Anyway, the rally car class does seem like a good idea to me, it just needs to be given a bit of time to see if it works or not.
