Marcus Boland should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Newbie

Hi, I did a taster day yesterday at Cadwell and really enjoyed it. I'm now thinking about doing the 750 meeting in October so am wondering what my next step is ?

Speaking personally, 750MC provides some of the best club racing around and I suspect that you'll have a nice time at the meeting.

Firstly, you need to volunteer. The club's chief marshal is Pete Harding, who is on this forum. His contact details are on the following link:

http://www.750mc.co.uk/marshalling.htm

I'd suggest including a note within any email stating you experience. The tickets will normally arrive about a week before the meeting.

I guess most of the other things will have been covered on the taster day (such as take waterproofs, warm clothes that don't clash with flags). I'd avoid buying overalls until you have done a few meetings and are sure that marshalling is the hobby for you.

Welcome to the community of Brit marshals, and the useful (though sometimes much sillier) world of 10/10ths marshals.

Agree with Kipper - 750MC meetings are great fun, busy, very friendly and greatly supported by the marshal fraternity for all those reasons. You couldn't do better than a 750 as an intro to marshaling. Go for it - hope you have a terrific day. Again as above, try to meet Pete Harding - he'll be a great help...

For Cadwell speak to David Owen, there is also a training day the first weekend in November at Louth/Cadwell.
