if you want to S1 your talking real cash mate, tyres(however many your allowed nowadays) and rebuilds every event, and a test session on the friday to run the engine in ideally, if you dont do the test session your saturday tends to be ruined as you spend most of it running around at low revs which aint much use when you need to be working on setup.
if you do a club champ then rebuld every 6 hours of running and tyres every 2-3 events so it works out alot cheaper. i remember getting away with only two rebuilds in a whole season while doing the Manchester & Buxton champ, but i was out to have fun that year and not to win everything lol |

You could save a few bob by going to 4S, 50-100hrs between rebuilds and there are some quick juniors from last year moving up to seniors.
Once you've paid the entry fee's for the year it's just the regulation tyres (1 set) and fuel at each meeting (very expensive!), not sure what that is this year though and of course as tkm81 mentioned, you will need the test on the Friday really. I think my bro spent around £10K last year in all getting his son the #1 plate. He's going to spend more this year in Rotax S1 though ! |

Dude, if i were you, i'd go racing in Easykart. The bangs per buck are far superior, the budget less, and there's an International race at the end of the season if you're sh1t-hot...

In what exactly ?
It's all down to the level you want to be at too. Although my brother spent 10k, his son won the Super 1 title, the 'O' plate, the 'GP' plate and the televised TKM bash at Whilton Mill. I know that he recieved £1000 back in prize money for the Super 1 series along with other cash prizes throughout the year, so it wasn't a bad return. |

Depends which Championship and with which team and what level you want to take it - but start at 20-30k at least for Super1 I would say and work up.

how much does it costs to race for a team?
How do the team get your kart do you buy it off them and they take it to races? If yoy race for a team do they provide a place o sleep and stuff? How much does one season in super 1 cost tkm? howmuch chance does jnr tkm give of getting to f1? how often do you need to rebuild engine is 2 aseason enough? How much does a helmet paint job cost and how do you get them? |

how much does it costs to race for a team? depends on how many test race days you can do base don tyres engine rebuilds number of chassis needed per season
How do the team get your kart do you buy it off them and they take it to races? basically there are 2 ways of doing it 1 is you own your own kit an dthey prepare it transport it for you or you just pay them LOTS of money and turn up and drive there equipement If yoy race for a team do they provide a place o sleep and stuff?im sure they will book hotels for you but you may have champagne tatse and a bank balance to suit so you may decide to book your own place many people will have motor homes to be self sufficient How much does one season in super 1 cost tkm? see first question howmuch chance does jnr tkm give of getting to f1? its down to 2 things A are you any good B ho wmuch money do you have £1 million or 3 million? Many Pro drivers in F3 BTCC WTC ALMS that started off in TKM how often do you need to rebuild engine is 2 aseason enough?depends on how many hours the motor runs some people can do a club season on 1 rebuild a full super 1 and club races may mean 3 or 4 engine rebuilds once you take in testing racing wet weather events How much does a helmet paint job cost and how do you get them? dont bother wasting the money on that for karting it will be ruined so fast with shunts tyre marks over the helmet etc race n white get a colour scheme when your into cars- in 30 years of racing i have never had a painted helmet |

how much does it costs to race for a team? depends on the team we pay £80 per day at super 1 for awning space that includes advice and help. Bigger teams are more like £150
How do the team get your kart do you buy it off them and they take it to races? you can rent a chassis for around £100 per day and an engine is the same. If you buy your own most teams will store it and deliver to the next meeting for about £60 and will also prep it for about the same. I've heard £10,000 quoted for a season in Super one using rented equipment but I doubt that includes practice rounds or any club events you want to do on top of super 1. If yoy race for a team do they provide a place o sleep and stuff? some may arrange hotels so that you all stay together but would be an additional cost How much does one season in super 1 cost tkm? depends on how much you do yourself. We're doing it this year and I've budgetted £6500 for just the super 1 rounds howmuch chance does jnr tkm give of getting to f1? If your good enough people will notice how often do you need to rebuild engine is 2 aseason enough? rebuild every 8 hours which costs approx £300. You'll do about 2.5 hours per super 1 round and about 1.75 at a club round How much does a helmet paint job cost and how do you get them? £300 depending on the design, there's plenty of websites. we used sfxdesigns.co.uk Are you racing at the moment, Super 1 isn't the best place for a beginner you need to do at least a season in club racing first. Incidently we spend around £250 per club weekend so you'll get much more racing for your money. |

7500 would cover the seven rounds of super one using your own kart and engines.
This would cover engine rebuilds, spares, accomodation, entry fees, control fuel, tyres, awning space but not a mechanic. If you rented kart and engines it would cost more. You need to be aware that everyone running at super one is also racing at least once a month at club level probably more in order to keep sharp. Hope this helps Tony |

its called a tent!!!!
99.9 percent of teams dont provide accomodation, either get your own caravan/motorhome/tent or stay in a hotel just out of interest youve been asking a lot of questions about super 1....what have you raced before? what experience of karting have you got??? |
