A BIG Thank You.

On behalf of all the competitors and officials at Barbon Manor, Harewood and Shelsley Walsh I would like to thank all the marshals who stood out in the appalling weather conditions. Rest assured your efforts were much appreciated by ALL the competitors.

It never ceases to amaze me at the professionalism shown by you all. A factor that contributed to all the meetings running so successfully.

PS to give you some idea of how bad it was at Harewood on Sunday I retired to the Paddock!

Lord Summerisle should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Its a pitty for one reason or another Sunday @ Harewood dragged oooooooon and oooooooooooooon! made a damp day hard to take.

And a certain top 12 runner's behavour nearly gave cause to us on our post question why we bothered. But that would be letting all the other guys running and standing in the rain down.

the afternoon did drag a little, if you are referring to whom I think, run1 clock fault, rerun2 red flagged, rerun3 time posted, not his fault but he did try it on a little after run one, methinks. but there were cars on the hill and in the chute at the time and so did not cause too much bother, as for getting him to the front of the queue that stands to reason so the top 12 can be finalised asap.
just the weather that stank

nope - i'm more refering to ignoring the red lights at 11, red flag at 14, red flag at 15 and flooring it towards the red flag of the resuce unit at the Barn. (and this was his first red flag)

It wasnt so much his behavour - it was more, a similar incident by a n other competitor resulted in a written report being requested by the CotC from both 14 and 15... yet this was ignored in this situation.

Wow, seemed like I missed some naughty goings on on Sunday... actually when it comes to the weather, I am by no means a fine weather marshall, but I am very glad that I wasn't out this weekend - and yes Wooley, I do believe that it may be mine and mudges weekend off for the whole of the season hehehehe.

We, ok you, were pushing at the time as I heard the comment over the radio. Thanks to all the guys at Quarry for all their hard work yesterday pushing, pulling and generally making a wet afternoon enjoyable and I'll try and be organised by the June meeting.

Was it just my imagination or did we only have spinner when Sally and Stuart(photographers for thoses that don't know them) were about ?

Have you not noticed the wee bottle of oil they carry with them?

That or they position themselves so they can blind the drivers with the sun flash off their lenses

Hi Sally

I think you're right about those two, but who do we blame for the "Gazebo Incident"???

Totally agree with you Mark and as a result I have told MS that I will not be attending any more National Champinship events at Harewood. So as i will be missing the June meeting I'll not be seeing you guys until August. Unless you come to the Westfield day of course.

I am sure they would, especially his dad as he used to race himself. If it wasn't for the 4 hour journey either way for us we would be there in a shot.
