 What camera do you use?, I ask so I can compare zoom ratio's on the lens, mine only has a 10x optical zoom so I don't want the cars to come out as dots on June 8 I've never been to Rockingham before due to an unreliable car, now I have a nice new one, so I'm going whether the Wife approaves or not

Yeah go for it Ian-S you won't regret going to the Rock. In answer to your question I use a Sony digital 8 with a 20x optical zoom and up to 560x digital zoom but I don't use it any further than 40x which is plenty and any more just makes the image look too blocky. But don't worry they won't come out as dots whatever you use all the action is right in front of you most of the time.
Why don't you drag the wife there with you, I am sure when you get her there she will approve. |

BTCC at Silverstone on June 3rd ASCAR at Rockingham June 8/9 or watch Canadian GP on tv June 8/9 |

Why not do all 3, the first 2 don't clash and the Canadian GP is in the evening so you will be home from the Rock before it starts. Thats what I am doing anyway.

Thanks for the info Rocsta, I will be there and maybe drag the Wife - you never know, she's a big NASCAR fan (F1 is boring so she says!)
I have a Sony VX9000 which has a x10 Optical, so I'll be taking y x2 lens with me
