fire robin miller
cart.com should fire this guy. i mean he is a disgrace. that whole tg bodygaurd thing on rpm the other day made me vomit all over the house. such a mess to clean up to... and how about rpm's little "best of cart all time" segment, trying to make the series look dead. if wayne gretzky went out and got killed tomorrow what would they do? show a wayne "best of all time" segment. it was like a memorial of some sort. i hate how everything on that show is slanted so heavily.

I saw the segement about the bodyguard. I thought it was very funny. If you recall, it was Robin's justified negative comments about Tony G. that got him fired from the Indianapolis Star.

If Robin's so bad, I wonder what you think about Jack Arute...

Robin Miller is not as bad as some (faint praise, I know). But we don't get RPM up here so I don't know what the story is. Why does TG need a bodyguard? To protect him from all the people who want their money back?

that's true jcclausen, id forgotten about that. but miller could still be doing a lot more to ram cart down kernan's throat while he rams nascar/irl down ours. thats all. it just frustrates me that the only motorsports show i can watch isn't at all balanced in what it presents and how it presents it. just frustrating...

Y'know, I really have to disagree, I think that RPM piece on CART the other night was great. It's just what CART needs to do, trot out Rahal, Emmo, Mario, Zorro, Jacques, Z-man, and remind people just which series has the history here , and then show them with the young guys.
At this point, CART needs every bit of good publicity it can get! |

I like Robin, at least I used to untill the World Wide Leader forced him to be more IRL friendly.

I agree with Lee. Anything that shows Champ Cars in a good light is good.

If you think Robin Miller should be fired you are crazy. The Indy Star fired him for being too pro-CART. ESPN is forcing him to be more IRL friendly. That's all. If Robin Miller is gone, they all we have to listen to is the complete **** Jack Arute gives us. I quit reading his articles long ago because they may be the worst things ever to be called sports journalism. If you think Miller should be fired, then have fun with the Insignifigant Racing League and Jack Arute

I noticed too that our mate Robin has been a little less critical on the IRL than 6+ months back. Thought I was imagining it but glad to see confirmed that others have picked up on it as well.
Can someone briely explain the funny bit of Jackass Arute's Billy Boat interview etc....I haven't seen it over here. Last edited by The Snout; 24 Oct 2002 at 07:54. |
