Toro Rosso Chassis
Sorry if this has already been covered...but what chassis will Toro Rosso be using next season?
I see they are using Red Bull chassis at the moment. Will that continue next season? Isnt there a issue with sharing components? As with Honda and S Aguri |

They'll get the Red Bull 2005 design, buy the intellectual property for £1, and build it themselves.
Fully legal. |

Why didnt Super Aguri do the same and purchase the rights to the 2005 BAR?

Potentially not enough time to build it

Surely if that had been an option to them they would have been able to construct two cars by the start of the season.

It's because BAR want to carry over some componentry and they couldn't do that if they had sold the intellectual rights.
One team could have been sanctoned in that scenario and it would be BAR, who of course had their fuel tank debacle this year. |

Ah ok.
So that means the RB2(?) wont have any parts carried over from the RB1. |

Surely they could get around that very easily by modifying minor details on the components, like moving the bodywork fasteners, different type of rod end on the wishbones etc?

heres a situation where you go to the pros on this issue....toyota and sauber
in all reality i don't see the problem with it really? remember when teams used to farm out the actual monocoque construction? im sure several of them were to the same company...is that any different than rosso "paying" red bull to build the chassis of which they have intellectual property rights? |

from the article above:
"Concorde Agreement states that even if one owns the intellectual property rights of a chassis, it must not have been designed or manufactured by an existing operation" So , back to topic , it seems that Toro Rosso WON'T be allowed to run the RB1 chassis in 2006 after all....? Am I right? |

What cars have Torro Rosso been running in testing? RB1? And if so, built by themselves or are they the chassis' used by Red Bull this year?

Yeh that's correct Martyn.
Do people think that STR will use the livery they have used in testing next season, or do we expect them to use a different livery? PAUL |

When did Schumacher test a Sauber? I remember reading some years back now that Peter Sauber had spoken to him about that but I thought it didn't go ahead.

He tested a Sauber to help them gain development information. He also tested the 1994 Ligier, to gain some information about the Renault engines before Benetton switched to them in 1995.
