Saint Saturnin 2016
This year's theme will be Alpine. Should be interesting.

Interesting will they get the support from Renault or is Alpine a separate setup up these days?
Always make the trip to Saturnin - even if it pours down like last year! |

In the last few years the weather on friday has not been great but as it is a french marque this year i suspect the french will arrange for bright sunshine all day

Last year was fine while I was there, but I plan to arrive for 9:45 to avoid queuing and left before the rain. Spent the downpour in the tent having lunch and reading, then did the pit lane once it cleared up.

Unfortunately last year we had some tag alongs they held us up till lunch so we got caught in that downpour otherwise we would have done the same. Won't have them this year so we too will be in and out for lunch ! |

If you want decent parking at the event make sure you take either an old car or something interesting, that way you get into the show car parks rather than the muddy fields.

Strange, I've seen lots of lesser cars let in.

sometimes the guys at the gate seem to have no idea about cars and turn away interesting cars while letting to many of the same thing in even though they are modern and very common it is ment to be a classic car show

Just wouldn't let us in - our lack a French didn't help needless to say we didn't expect to just roll up and get in but we thought we might have a chance - astonished when we did get in to see some less than mediocre cars sat around

I kind of like the arbitrary randomness of who gets in - mind you, RX-8 R3s are rarer than hen's teeth in France, so we're straight in ;-)
