So who is going to Wakefield for the first round of the Konica series? Myself and Monaro will be going across on Sunday for a look. Here is sunday's program. It will be magnificent..
Do they still award trophies for 3rd place if there are 6 cars, or is it like the Horse races where there is no third dividend?? |

Lunch Break !!
Hey Mount, yeah I'll be there for the two days officiating - we always wonder whether we wil be allowed a breather for a lunch break - I might suggest we get it during the 4000s as you have suggested
Looks like the making of a very good meeting with a big field of Konica's and good support classes. The weather, on the other hand, is always a @#$&^%*$ luckydip Last edited by 275 GTB-4; 16 Feb 2003 at 04:28. |

So race, who does the F1 GP? Do they follow the circus around or do they employ the best locals?? Looks like I'm on the team this year to officiate (sound like the drill sargent in "An Officer and a Gentlemen" don't it...mayo-naise...o-fish-e-ate) Accomodation...thats something I need to urgently look into!! (loosly translated that means better get my A into G) Not long to go (sounds of panicked official) |

It's raining quite heavily today (friday) and is predicted to continue over the weekend. So if you are coming down for the Konica meeting be prepared.
I didn't believe them when they said the Konica Cup would be good for this town but if it's going to bring rain i'm all for it. But Avesco will never get another cent off me. |

Six sports sedans and four Formula Holdens ooooop 4000's - only three timed.
Makes these two series look stupid, doesn't it? (sorry S/S followers....) |

Is it absolutely bucketing down at Goulburn or what?
I was looking at the times from practice and they are way slower than what they should be, anyone know why? Maybe they should mix the Sports Sedans and Formula 4000 together to fill up the grid, if ten cars is classed as filling the grid! |

Yeah I did read your post Bomn, I was just wondering exactly just how heavy it was as the times for the Sports Sedans were waaaaaaay slow.

Also there have been many accidents mainly around Marulan, some quite serious, so take care. With no heavy rain for the last 6 months the oil hasn't been washed away.

Plus a lot of those big banger sports sedans dont go out in the rain unless they really have to, because they are pigs at the best of times.
Plus, I think you'll find that Ricciardello is doing double duty this year... |

Think the word you are looking for, Crash, is wimps! Both Sports Sedans and Formula Holden's dislike the rain so much they try to have the sessions/races cancelled if it is wet.
(Formula Holden use the excuse they don't have wet weather tyres....) And they call these 'racing categories'......... |

I know with the Sports Sedans, esp at State Level, it can get a bit hard with mounted wets, and also changing them as not many cars have air jacks etc.

BUt it shouldn't - not in the conditions presently in place at Wakefield - it isn't as if they are going from dry to wet - it has been wet all along...

With a car that costs that much would you risk it just to wake money for somebody else. Plus with wets up to a year old and not made for the class that they are fitted to they would hardly be confident.
