Strong showing from Lister. That is good to see. And RfH is doing their best to chase the Audi down. Also a strong performance from Intersport and the Judd!

It's interesting that the Morgan is only 3.5 sec off the pace from Cirtek, that's faster than the TVR and the Spyker.

Intersport are 7th, second in 675 behind the RML MG. That's a good performance for Lister though..... |

The Spyker has got brand new performances, and good news, they'll run 6 races in 2004, including LMES, LM and Sebring... and maybe two cars for LM !

The Konrad Saleen did pretty good today. they are only 1 sec off the Prodrive 550's. Those guys have alot more funding than Konrad. They have been testing all week with their cars, and Konrad came in Thursday and tested. Prodrive tested Monday-Thursday.
Wolfgang Kauffman is a great driver. Too bad they couldnt have gotten Walter Lechner Jr to partner Kauffman and Konrad. If that was the case, the Ferraris could have a serious threat. I will be very happy if Konrad can bring the car home 2nd or 3rd. I doubt they will be able to win, but you never know... |

The day was terrific, except that we missed the morning meeting, due to the fact that the Paddock Bar was still closed at 8h30 BernardB and me met at noon and shared a bottle of Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil for lunch !
I took 200 pics and some short cuts, but Bernard shot at least 1000 pics ! And believe me, it's worth a look The morning free practice was full of cars in the gravels, lots of too late bbrakings, with smoke and everything : a real show ! They became more precise for the qualification's practices, and the track turned better too (too cold in the early morning). The Audi and the Dome beat the field easely, but the Lister is very promising, as are more generaly all the new cars (Morgan, Spyker, Courage C65). The MGs are beautiful, and the short Bugatti track gives a great show, with take-offs in each curves, batlles everywhere, and... no fences !!! Before the "Chemin aux Boeufs", you're very close from the track, from the cars, and you can follow them on a very long part of the circuit. Rain in expected for tomorrow, but some of the teams are waiting for it... Other things : french teams owners seems to be delighted by the new championship, and are much more optimistic as they were some months before, especialy Yves Courage. Can't wait for the race, Jan and Andy won't let Tom and Seiji get the stuff all by themselves ! |

Most of the public is made of fans, with serious camera and all the stuff. At the gate, at 8am, there was already a - small - line... Last edited by Fab; 8 Nov 2003 at 17:30. |
