This is the track where Edwards and Hayden usually keep their career alive, with some good rides!
Still, I think the Ducati has a way to big advantage, anybody can win on that bike... |

No, skipping this year (I just blew more than 2 grand on a booking for a holiday). I'll be there again next year!
I heard Capirossi crashed in practice and might have another injury Is Spies still on stand by? |

He's back in the states AFAIK.
I don't think you can substitute riders after the meeting has started, but I might be wrong. Capirex has cut to his forearm but has not further injured his hand. No word yet on whether he is fit to continue. |

See here "Tenth placed Chris Vermeulen had a small run-off during the afternoon session, but his was a minor setback in comparison to that of Rizla Suzuki teammate Loris Capirossi. The returning veteran -absent from Donington with a hand injury- suffered a brutal highside that ended with the Italian nursing a cut forearm in the Clinica Mobile. He played no further part in the session, and his replacement in Britain Ben Spies is on-hand in the Netherlands should his services be required." |

He has missed a full days practice and with the possibility of rain it is a no win situation. Probably a good decision. |

i smell a Rossi/Casey battle with Rossi the victor. with the usual Edwards/Hayden battle for their "once a year show" for the last spot on the podium.

I just watched qualifying! What a great session! It was so close, with unbelievable laps of the top 3! Very enjoyable, and that is the way I like a qualifying session to be. Just 1 hour, with the last 20 minutes the times tumbling down in rapid order! I thought the new qualy rules in Formula 1 were good, but my God, I wish it was back as how it is now in Motogp!
Hopkins had a very nasty fall, I hope he is alright... |

WOW Melandri, 3.2 seconds slower then his teammate, 1.5 slower then the 2nd D'Antin bike and a full second slower then West on the ****test bike in the field. i like Marco but he really has to go, it's not helping Casey and Ducati move forward Casey is a lone ranger, you would not think the factory Ducati's would be bookending the field. how can one be so fast and the other so slow???

I know he's not helping Stoner, but Stoner is not helping him either. So, what is your point there? Lorenzo is not helping Rossi by getting injured all the time and Hayden is not helping Pedrosa by having a total different riding style, finishing well down the field all the time and now riding a different bike as well! Are you suggesting they should be sacked as well? |

Casey likes this track as he's not the only Stoner in attendance for a change.

If you want motogp badly enough youd take any chance to get on a motogp bike - sure he didnt get practice but if he got on that bike and produced a good to great result he is in the spotlight... why do you think Suzuki came back to him after last race? For a Laugh???? THAT is why british riders arent making it it to the top sucessfully....... Alot of British riders have talent but their work ethic and willingness to take any chance of showing yourself has a lot to be desired **hides under table** Last edited by ozrevhead; 27 Jun 2008 at 23:10. |

Are'nt we talking about a septic though? When did the Brits come into it? Anyway Aussies only get the rides 'cos its the only way of shutting the b**tards up - pop a helmet on them them, send then out on track and lets get back to our tea and scones. |

Aussies get rides because they are good its that simple!
There havent been any decent Brist for years Mackenzie had a million chances but came into teh sport whe the riding style and engineering ethic was all about rear wheel steering. If he was 21 now he would be in his element Haslam was decent but had to put with riding Elf's and some slow ish bikes Rob Mac was quick too but again bit of a crasher. Jay Vincent was a quality 250 guy, as was Jamie Robinson. Jezza got great results on a private 250 as did guys liek Donnie McLeod. Aussies if you think about it there have been a few failures there too. Mladin, Magee, Mark Willis, West (perhaps in GP not 250), Gobert, Beattie (after 95 of course), Ok a few of them won races but Magee, Beattie and West are so inconsistent! I think Brits are getting there, but the only ones that are are getting involved in racing in Spain from a young age, I dont think riding in the UK is a good idea for younger riders. |

Well that got a bit boring today. Also only 13 finishers !
I hope this isn't going to be how the rest of the season pans out, the only highlight for me was the payback time for De Puniet, it was a pity it was Rossi although I think Stoner would still have got it. Last edited by GORDON STREETER; 28 Jun 2008 at 17:04. |
