Mustang Gt-r
What do you think about the new Mustang GT-R for N-GT.
Can it rival the current N-GT cars. It's gonna be a cheap car that's for sure. |

I hope so... but look how long it's taken for a 360 to get on terms with the GT3s...
however successful development of this car could have a great knock-on effect because enough low-volume cars use the same motor! |

And what's more it's a car that you or me could own, affordable, you too can drive one. Cheaper than a M3! Lots cheaper!
F360, errrr no. Not really a practical car for every day use, unless you have bottomless pockets. What's got me is the way the Moslers have been strangled. I think the restrictors/weights need more dynamic adjustment to level the playingfield, which seems to be favouring the "old boys club" of Porche and Ferrari. The old Brit favourites, TVR, Mosler and the like seem to be out of favour with Mr Ratel and his associates. They should look at the SCCA series for performance levelling and close competition. Then maybe the likes of the Mustang, and the GM/Opel/Holden/Vauxhall Monaro will also be competitive. Or am I being pessamistic, but I love those proper V8's! Rob. |

Compared to the 996/360/TVR it's definitely cheap, and it has power as well. Plus it's a proven engine wich makes me expect that it's reliable. The one thing that prevents me from calling it a possible NGT entry is the weight. How heavy is it? And will Ford sell them as racable packages?

Looking at the pictures in my local car mag the aerodynamics look rather crude, especially at the front. Just a show car I guess.
It's being developed by Saleen though so I'm sure it'll get some decent development |

The Ford Crammer V8 is a proven and known engine though. On the other hand; it takes a lot to beat Ferrari and Porsche

Sometimes brute strength and ignorance can be quite effective.

Ford have supposedly homologated the Mustang, but I've been unable to discover where and with whom.
