SBR announcement.
SBR will announce their new driver lineup just after midnight of new years eve. It will also have pics of their new cars. Considering the timing it is obvious it will be Ingall. No surprise there

Ingall was confirmed (basically) as Ambrose's team mate on channel Ten news over the weekend in a piece with Neil Crompton, as well as Max Wilson to DJR, Rat to Briggs, and Besnard to 00 with Lowndes!

Dazz I think if you listened carefully to what #10 said about Besnard, it was claimed that Besnard would become Lowndes' teammate, but there was no mention of 00 at all
The FPV/Seton link is still on... this will be the new home of Cwaig & Bezzy |

What about Cromley? He's a good commentator, but a better driver IMO.
Is there any spot for him? |

Whoa Colin,
The end of Ingall's career, half-baked Ford team? How about the only Ford team to get a result of any sort this year and Ingall's chance to at last get out from under the shadow TWR casts over ALL other Holden teams. |

Expect to see a reduction in Caltex Signage, indeed taken over in some way by a Nestle brand or 3....
Caltex it seems has reduced its level of funding to SBR, or at least maintained parity while the greedygobblers asked for more which might be a better description... So external sponsors were required... |

Well children when there is a genuine front running Ford team who challenges Holden Racing Team every race then I will think more of a Ford teams announcement........
And this has to be Ingalls last throw of the dice but I believe that he will NEVER be a V8 Supercar Championship winner |

And what? Colin Bond's last drive was in a Winfield VP, which passed thru GRM and was builtinto the silver Superute

I thought the Superute was built out of Tander's VS which was an ex-HRT car?

The car Skaife crashed at Eastern Creek was a brand spanker from memory, not a repanelled VP... It gets hazy after a few years but if I recall rightly, the car Richo Jr brought from Gibson to GRM was the one he ran at Bathurst with Anders Olofsson which was the #3 Gibson car at the time, and the same car run in 1994 with Bond & Olofsson at the wheel. This vehicle was run by GRM for Richo Jr, and at Bathurst combining with Richo Sr... and for the year after that, was Garth Tander's regular ride in VS specification. The VS was built into the SuperUte, and the shell has been for sale in AA for some time, as the remnants of the stuff not carried over was for sale by GRM for $45k.... I could be wrong but dont think so.... |

Did GRM only ever get one Gibson car? When they expanded with Bargs, Bargs got the ex-HRT one, did Richo Jr continue on with the same old Gibbo car?
BTW- Like the look on the Stone Bros Barra |
