rFactor Endurance Series Mod.
Does anyone run the rFactor Endurance Series Mod? What is it like and what sort of tracks are available? Thanks.

The 'Enduracers' mod is possibly the best Mod on rFactor in my opinion.
I've moved over to iRacing, but i still keep an install of rF just for that mod and the VirtuaLM 1996 Le Mans track. In terms of tracks, there are simply 100's, all of varying quality. |

Yes, I've run it. It's OK. You can race on whatever tracks you have installed.....

but if you don't have RFactor yet: RFactor 2 will be released in a few months I think.

I'll probably give it a whirl when it's released. I'm not fussed about paying to beta test it though....

I've done a fair bit on Enduracers before, it's pretty good, not incredible though.
Touring Car Legends is a fun one to get if you can. rFactor2 is much better though, have some serious fun with the Clios on that! |

Enduracers is very, very good, almost well put together enough to warrant paying for. Every car has its own physics, very well put together sounds and the graphics on the vehicles are simply beyond reproach. THe physics are maybe the only thing that very slightly lets it down, on RF you really need to use Real Feel to get the best out of FFB and enduracers doesnt really like it. But anyway the standard FFB is more than good enough. TCL is a rather poor relation in my view, loads of cars yes, but not anywhere near as well finished and put together. RF2 is better in some ways, but so far not really that open for modding, though that will come of course. |

Other good mods to look out for are: - DRM (70s German sportscar series). Very very good fun, cars are well made and seem to handle reasonably well). http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail...M%20Revival%20 - Apex Modding's GT3 mod is also good: http://www.apex-modding.com/ - RaceX for rFactor is also pretty good as it brings in the Race cars so WTCC, 1987 WTCC etc. http://www.drivingitalia.net/forum/i...&showfile=3645 - VLN 2005 is another good touring car mod. You do need to have a copy of GTR to play it, lots of cars! http://www.team-nlc.de/ - Porsche Carrera Cup 2007 is another good one (can get GB 2009 skins from somewhere as well) - V8Factor Unleashed is great fun, full field of V8 Supercars = massive smile on my face! http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail...or%20Unleashed I have the files for most of these if you can't find them online. There are lots of other mods out there as well, these are a few of my favourites |

Will have a look at enduracers. Does it have good changing weather and light? This was always the achilles heel of rfactor previously and what made gtr2 the number one for me.

There isnt really weather changing on RF, you have to remember its a fairly old engine now!
But if you want weather then perhaps look at something else |

I don't get the FFB settings though, I have a G25 and the default setting was -100% FFB when I first accessed the controls menu. A negative number? |

you sometimes have to flip the FFB between +/- for certain mods, no idea why.
The Lambo should be quite controllable from recollection. Make sure you get your pedals setup properly so you have a nice smooth linear application. |

The pedals are fine, I checked and the progression is linear as I apply it. |

Another question gents, how does rFactor handle multiple mod installations? What I mean is, if I was to stick on the Historix mod for instance, the Endurance mod should still work right? Sounds daft but I noticed when I loaded rFactor up yesterday it the run the Endurance mod straightaway if that makes any sense. Thanks.

Its fine cg, you can run rfactor lite, but the main version is fine too.
I have about 5 or 6 mods on mine, its very easy to install everything and uninstall it. Loads of tracks aswell, its real easy honestly. |

Well, to use different mods, I use "mod launcher" - a small tool from witch you can launc the rFactor-Mod I would'like to play.
Uploaded with ImageShack.us In my opinion, the best mods are: - Enduracers - Grid - DRM - Blancpain 2012 - FIA GT3 There are hundreds of tracks you can use... :-) |

Ayse, have you had a go in any of the GT1 cars at all? I'll be interested in your views.
I'm struggling to get to grips with them, way off the pace. I think I'm an average sim driver (certainly fairly handy in GPL around the tracks I know anyway!) but this is proving testing (not as testing as trying to go negative in a Cooper or Honda around Zandvoort mind), still, it 's reminding me again of why I tried rFactor all those years ago when it first came out and promptly gave it up. To me, it feels like the way traction reduces (normally at the back-end as I lean into corners) is a little unpredictable and sudden. It's doesn't feel progressive. |

cg, turn off the throtle blip and do it yourself
Some cars are really hard to drive as their rears lock up real easy. Depends what setup you ae using, I used a G25 with H pattern, flapy paddle doesnt work too well in GT cars as its hard to time the throttle blip I use flappy paddle in P cars, it wors fine there. Maybe play about with auto clutch and stuff. But some of the GT cars are quite tricky to drive, its a known bug, but once you work it out its fairly easy. My basic advice is that you have to use a different settings in the GT cars and P cars, that is how I remember it!! |

Much against my better judgment (we all have those moments!), I downloaded and coughed up my cash for RF2. I'm very disappointed. So few cars, so few tracks - and I don't seem to be able to use all of the tracks with all of the cars... We seem to be a very long way away from this being a product that I would really want to buy.

Ayes, what did I tell you ages ago
It is not anything but a beta, its a lot better than it was when it came out believe me. But it's not a game you can just jump in and start playing like F12012 or RF. Its a BETA! You can run any car on any track, just select all cars all tracks in the selector And from now you will not have to pay for the release version and get a lengthy online sub too. My only complaint so far is my online sub is pretty much a waste of time due to the slow speed evrything is being done. But I would rather have this than pay per play assetoo corsa, raceroom and Iracing. Plus, give it a chance, the modders havent sussed out as much yet. Graphics are not great, but the physics are way ahead of stuff like Pcars, Raceroom simraceway. And it will get better |
