Barber Wins 1st Formula Ford round .
well , alot of people think that this years Forula Ford championship will be between Barber and Heylen , and after the 1st round it looks like it may be . Mind you , along way to go in the season yet of course .

It got to be all or nothing this year for Westley , but i think he can do whats needed , he needs it to get the momentum back into his career , and he's started pretty good .

A bit of a small field isn't it?
I don't see it grabbing my attention like last year. |

Barber drove a blinder. Fastest in testing, fastest in qualifying, wins the race, fastest lap in race.
To win by 3 seconds or so in Fords you're doing pretty well. The pace was also rapid - a new lap record I believe -so although the field may be smaller it's just as competitive up front in terms of talent as in years past. |

WEll Mygale, you may know better than us why your namesake chassis put out such a poor show.
I do hope that Mygale can pull some better stuff out of the hat for the next race or it's going to be excruciatingly boring watching three blue and yellow streaks roll over the finish line at every meet. |

I would LOVE to know who you are TVR.
I asked why the poor show for Myagle as I think you'll find all of the Mygales were bunched together at the back of the field. I've heard there's a serious chassis problem with the new car. Considering which, I think Thompson did well to fend of the highly talented Oliver Jarvis for the entire race when he was clearly struggling with the chassis into the corners. And incidentally, Thompson (and List) recorded the fastest speed trap times all weekend so it looks like their Solus is miles ahead of the Scholar. I would just hold back on your criticism of Murray and co until they've sorted out the problems with the Mygale. And let's not forget, Wonderful Wez didn't win a single race last year, and finished 8th in the championship. I think that speaks volumes. |

Numpty Sgrok
Wonderful Wez did win 1 race last year that was at spa !
That Speed trap thing about Solus and Scholar just shows how good the Works V.D Drivers and the team must be to have the set up so good. but you could say whats the diffrence between a Scholar and Solus?? About 0.5 seconds a lap Then ask what the diffrence between Linsay and Roger and the Works V.D Team Another 0.5 Seconds a Lap God Have MERCY |

Wow Wez, that makes you 1.5 secs a lap faster than all the other drivers.

Speed trap difference comes down to slipstream. Check your lap by lap.

Could someone tell me why are the Mygales so poor this year? After all, they have the 2001 Championship winning team Murray and the great 'Puddy' with Continental. Surely these people aren't stupid?

Dickie: I think what TVR's trying to say is that the car, as Gilles Villeneuve once said of the '81 Ferrari to the Old Man's very face, is a sh**box. Or fundamentally flawed in many departments, at least.
A lot of work to do. Here's to hoping they get it right because none of us want to see an absolute white (blue and yellow) wash. |
