Sainz out!!
Crashed out early in SS3. After SS3, Loeb is leading, Petter is 3.8 secs behind him in second. |

...and speculation that Citroen may ask Loeb to back off and drive for a finish- apparently the manufacturers title matters more to them than the drivers.... http://www.wrc.com/en_GB/News/2003/0...oebbackoff.htm |

I suppose this is because Sainz is out...
Considering that the situation at the moment is: Citroen 147 & in Wales 1st, 5th, ret. Peugeot 142 & in Wales 7th, 8th, 61st I think. |

Are we seeing signs of this (difficult to tell without being cold and in Wales)?
Solberg now leads after taking 8.5s away from Loeb. |

You see I want Solberg to win, but I'm not happy he has been let off the hook a bit.
I've just spoke to a friend of mine who is covering the rally. He says that the report about Citroen is pretty spot on. |

SS5 Resolfen 1 next. All 43 km of it. If there's only a few secs between them after this beast of a stage, we're in for one hell of a battle!

Well now Martin and Gronholm are out too! It may come down to the last man standing at this rate.

If the report on Citroen is true, I hate that. Surely, given that he's gunning for the title, they can give Loeb his head? Is he driving a Citroen next year?!
