Hello, folks! Welcome to the 8 To Go special stage of the 2012 Bet 'Em CupContest. You must bet on results in the final standings.

You must pick three different drivers and two different brands:

o- Drivers champion ($ 2,000)
o- Brand of the drivers champion ($ 1,000)
o- Top 5 ($ 500)
o- 13th ($ 100)

The stakes are:

o- 5 to 1: Johnson, Stewart, Keselowski, Hamlin, Kahne, Bowyer
o- 10 to 1: Earnhardt, Harvick, Biffle, Truex, Kenseth, Gordon
o- 20 to 1: Kyle Busch, Newman, Edwards, Menard
o- 40 to 1: Logano, Burton, Ambrose, McMurray
o- 100 to 1: Rest of the grid (it's a single option)

o- Chevrolet: 3 to 1
o- Toyota: 4 to 1
o- Dodge: 10 to 1
o- Ford: 12 to 1

So, here's the championship results:

o- Drivers champion ($ 2,000): Keselowski (5 to 1)
o- Brand of the drivers champion ($ 1,000): Dodge (10 to 1)
o- Top 5 ($ 500): Keselowski (5 to 1), Bowyer (5 to 1), Johnson (5 to 1), Kahne (5 to 1), Biffle (10 to 1)
o- 13th ($ 100): Kyle Busch (20 to 1)

Gomick earned $ 2,500 and $ 10,000 for picking Keselowski and Dodge for champion. NaBUru38 and Fieldodreams earned 2,500 for picking Johnson for the top 5. All three earned 2,000 for picking Jyle Busch for 13th. However, Gomick got only half the earnings for missing the deadline by one race.

These are the results of the 8 To Go special stage:

1st - Gomick: (2,500 + 10,000 + 0 + 2,000) / 2 = 7,250
2nd - NaBUru38: 0 + 0 + 2,500 + 2,000 = 4,500
3rd - Fieldodreams: 0 + 0 + 2,500 + 2,000 = 4,500

Gomick beat NaBUru38 and Fieldodreams by hitting a high stakes bet for Dodge. Fire sadly missed the special stage.

So, these are the final standings of the 2012 Bet 'Em CupContest:

1st - Fieldodreams79: $ 56,000
2nd - NaBUru38: $ 29,600
3rd - Fire: $ 26,300
4th - Gomick: $ 25,650
5th - JHamilton: $ 0

Fieldodreams79 won the CupContest convincingly, by almost doubling the vice-champion's earnings, me Fire was close in third place, only $ 750 in front of Gomick. JHamilton missed all the bets in a one-time effort.

These three months of weekly races were a bit too intense for me. I think that I will run a No Bull 5-style schedule for the 2013 Bet 'Em CupContest, with rounds at Daytona, Talladega, Charlotte, Sears Point, Indianapolis, Watkins Glen, Bristol and Homestead, for example. Any suggestions?
