Not being rude to David but that is probably the best picture I have seen of him
Now that frame must be gold plated for that price. |

I don't think you ticked the "Automatically parse URLs" box, kmchow - the link doesn't seem to work. (And I'm far too lazy to type the link in!!).
There's a nice little piece on Mr. Leslie in this week's Autosport, by the way..... Last edited by Aysedasi; 9 Nov 2001 at 20:22. |

I think Trading Standards should investigate this one....
According to the topic title it claims the "Bearded Wonder" (Aka David leslie) has fans... Must be a typo error surely?? |

$19.99 for a signed poster of David Leslie???? I'll take it!!! Seriously, that's a great price for the American touring car fan!

Eeerrr, ummmm, looks around the room, looks around again. Gets out binoculars and looks around.....nope, definitely no sightings of any Lesser Spotted Bearded Wonder Fan. Existance of such a species has never actually been confirmed, soon it will join the legendary ranks of the Yeti and the Loch Ness Monster.

Well, no doubt the proceeds resulting from the sale of these posters and frames will go to finance Mirko Racing's efforts.
My only confusion or frustration with Mirko is that he seems to jump around between manufacturers. First Honda, then Ford, then Mazda, now to Acura. PS: I am NOT related to Mirko Racing in any way and do not get any commission for bringing this website up!!! Though he did promise me a free trip to Disneyland if 10 of you guys buy a poster!!!! JUST KIDDING!!! |

It's not that I like David Leslie, He's really not my favorite driver, as he had punted people off in the past and made up a convincing story to blame the other person. (I.e. Silverstone 1997- Blames John Bintcliffe for making him crash into him when David refused to concede the corner twice, Donington, 1998, keeps going around the outside of Jason Plato, and while Plato has the line, Leslie turns in on him before Plato even makes the corner, damaging both cars "It's childish, really" said Plato.)
I think he's a great driver, when he's not ticked off at someone or when he has an unsuperior car, as that gives him the sense of mind to lay off and let the car do the work, wheras, in 1998, and 1999, when he had a vastly superior car to much of the field, he often made many more rash moves on opponents, or refused to concede room (refer to examples above, and Silverstone 1998, both rounds, the first round when he refuses to move away from Menu and then tries to push Thompson off, and when Leslie moves over to the racing line, they are 3 abreast at Bridge, so Leslie pushes Menu off... Then at the final round, Leslie refuses to concede the corner at the now-extinct ireland chicane, resulting in Leslie being pushed off, and the "NO, IT'S STEERING FROM THE REAR..." incident occurs. Okay, that's my two cents! |

"The Vodafone Nissan Primera team have said before, and I'll say it again, NO TEAM ORDERS!" When their team boss tells Laurent Aiello not to pass Leslie for the lead. (Donington 1999)
