Radisichrox should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Soper in a 306!!!

FROM AUTOSPORT:

"Soper leads front-wheel drive charge

Veteran Guia ace chases the tails of the BMWs

Soper was a last-gasp third

Britain's Steve Soper in his Peugeot 306 left it until the very last moment of qualifying to secure third spot on the Macau Guia race grid, after being moved down to fifth place in the closing stages of the session.

Many of his laps were ruined by slower traffic but he got a clear run on his very last lap and secured third spot as the chequered flag fell.

"We came here and obviously wanted pole position, but I suppose third is the best we could have done under the circumstances," he said. "With a front-wheel drive car we really wanted to start on the front row but I don't suppose we can be too disappointed.

When I don't crash in practice I crash in the race

STEVE SOPER

"Today Duncan and Tom crashed in practice and usually when I don't crash in practice I crash in the race. Everything will depend on how consistent we are and in this race just one slow car can change the whole event - even if the leader is 20 seconds in front."

Soper's final lap run moved Denmark's Peter Scharmach down to fourth place after the BMW driver had been one of the few frontrunners able to improve his time. German Franz Engstler ended up fifth despite trying hard to move back up the grid."

Perhaps this is what Vic Lee and Steve Soper will be doing next year in the BTCC!!

No chance! Running Lexus IS200s in partnership with TMSR next year I'm pleased to say!

Well, at least, hopefully, Soper will be one of their drivers.

I sure hope so, though I'm not that sure that Soper will end up in an IS200, sadly.
