V8SCFC'11: R14 Sydney Results
Top Ten
Green Hornets took the flag at the final round of the year, just ahead of D&T Racing and all their groupies. Congrats to gold medallists Craig Lowndes, David Reynolds, and Warren Luff! Hard Charger Award Mach 1 Motorsport and Silver Fernz Motorsport got their tyre choices right before the race, and gained a tidy 5 spots each. The Paul Radisich Trophy For Reckless Endangerment of your Vehicle in the Pursuit of Championship Points. This trophy goes to the hardest of hard chargers, the team whose cars have bonnets shaped like accordions, holes where the headlights used to be, front suspension held together with sticky tape, and a spotless rear bumper. The Paul Radisich Trophy for 2010 goes to..... Drug Squad Racing! for scoring three Hard Charger awards, against just one minor placing in the Loser category. Congratulations Average Punter! Biggest Loser Award Amidst a pile of bent and broken steering arms large enough to be seen from space sit Zoom Motorsport and ETIHAD Racing, who both fell 7 places. Eagle Motorsport's day also came to a premature end after d'Albertoing one too many concrete walls. The Precast Concrete Federation Salver For Reckless Endangerment of your Vehicle for No Good Reason. This salver goes to the greatest of the gutterballers, the drivers who simply cannot keep their car on the road and would rather do doughnuts in the sandpit or test the crash rating of various fences and walls. The Precast Concrete Federation Salver for 2010 goes to..... Andrew Denman Racing! for 'winning' the Biggest Loser once, with one Highly Uncommended and nothing positive to add. Congratulations(?) stmookeyj033! The Attention Whore Cup For Getting Your Ugly Mug In Front Of Camera As Often As Possible. This cup goes to the team that loves the spotlight so much they were *always* on the podium, even when uninvited. The Attention Whore Cup for 2009 goes to..... D&T Racing and Team Bourbonfone! for scoring five podium trips each (one win & four top-threes). Congratulations liquid drano and Micklegend! The Roland Dane Mahogany Cabinet For Winning All The Time. This cabinet goes to the team that won so much they've outgrown their old trophy cabinet. The Roland Dane Mahogany Cabinet for 2011 jointly goes to..... Green Hornets, Zoom Motorsport, ETIHAD Racing, and WW Racing! for winning two championship rounds each. Congratulations Green Hornet, twinwebbers, H C Motorsport, and F J Nedos! Final Standings:
The Pete55 Memorial Trophy For Winning It All. This trophy, dedicated to a former forumer, fantasy team owner, and two-time top-3 V8SCFC finisher, goes to the team that wins the Ten-Tenths V8Supercar Fantasy Championship. The ninth name to be engraved on the Pete55 Memorial Trophy is..... D&T Racing! Congratulations liquid drano! Well it just wouldn't have been right to not have a lead change the way things have gone this year, and D&T Racing duly obliged, doing what Craig Lowndes couldn't in overhauling Cooper Racing Team to take the trophy! The rest of the top five (Axeman Performace Racing, Team Bourbonfone, Jim's Racing) held station, ahead of Team Exceler8 and Team Warp Speed. Jacko Junior Racing and Green Hornets made a late surge into the ten, which was rounded out by L&P World Famous Racing. So ends the 2011 season - one of the most topsy-turvy championships ever! And now we head for the offseason, such as it is these days, and I will be back before long with the tenth running of the V8Supercar Fantasy Championship. I know most of you had at least a taste of P1 at some point this year, and I hope to see you all back for more virtual fender-bending next year! Cheers, Antro |

Congrats to all the winners. 7th is quite good in a field of nearly 50 teams. Also RIP Pete55, it just feels like it was yesterday that we would talk to each other over the internet about V8 Supercars, F1, other motorsport or life in general. He is sorely missed on these forums.
Bring on 2012!!! |

Congrats LD and Joey31, glad to join you on the podium. Onwards and upwards for next year I say.
And a big thanks to Antro for running this, and also helping me in the (smaller and slightly less successful ) NASCAR version |

4th...not too shabby team performance for a gun Kiwi, a solid established driver in a promising but crap car and a very promising driver on the outer with his team!!! Thanks Giz, SteveO and Davey Reynolds for piloting the Bourbonfone machines this year, many thanks to Antro for running the show again...all good fun, bring on 2012!

Awesome year all round... many thanks to Antro for taking the time to keep these results straight, and without argument.. congratulations to liquid drano for the winning effort!
I am just excited at Riva Team Thexalot being 25th... just outside the top 50%... but should stand the team in good stead for season 2012... if the drivers ever sign off on their 2012 deals |
