Shannon's Qld Historic Racing Festival
Qld's annual National Historic race meeting is once again being sponsored by Shannon's Insurance and will be held at Qld Raceway on July 23-25. The programme includes racing for all Historic categories and contemporary Sports Cars, as well as regularity trials, a classic car show'n'shine and car club displays. Food, drinks and merchandising are all avialable on site and tickets can be purchased at the gate.

how much are tix??
if i can afford it i may go, seeing as i want to see the historics & theyre not gonna be with the V8s this weekend when i go. |

The Histric weekend is always a great event & i recommend that any motorsport enthusiast go out to QR sometime over that weekend & go for a trip down memory lane.

Well it's on this weekend. 260 entries, surely the biggest race meeting ever held in Qld?
53 Group N Touring Cars including a Camaro, 3 Mustangs, a Monaro, a GT Falcon, 10 XU-1 Toranas, 8 Minis and a Volkswagen, plus the usual Cortinas and EH Holdens etc. 17 Group C Touring Cars including a '79 ATCC winning A9X, 3 XC hardtops, 2 XDs and an XE. |

get out early on saturday and you can see me go round on the dirt track as part of the http://www.queenslandchallenge.com/
Saturday morning from around 8.30am Although the mx-5 ain't exactly fast or historic (yet) |
