Comparatively....compared to the 30 GT3s that they had 6 or 7 years ago, 17 GT4s are nothing to get excited about. When you consider how badly Oreca messed up the series in the last few years, though, it seems like a solid first step in the right direction.

2017 GT4 European Series
Updated my expected entry list for both Northern and Southern Cups, thanks to Racing Harz on the Southern Cup.

I think we have a heck of a field in the Southern, 23 cars potentially so far. even if it is mostly Caymans.

Northern Cup isn't quite as big yet, but certainly more diverse in terms of selection of cars

Northern Cup will have the 8 KTMs again this year... so that's a nice boost to the overall grid numbers as well!

Autovitesse in Southern Cup is the Ekris M4 GT4, not the new BMW M4 GT4.

GP34 by GEMO Motorsport is looking at some of the Northern Cup rounds, not all. Focus on the Southern Cup.

There will be some new arrivals in the Northern Cup, looks like a strong grid there as well.

Correct, all Southern Cup rounds as well as Brands Hatch, Zandvoort and Nürburgring - which means they'll be fighting for the GT4 European Cup and not just the Southern Cup.

Ekris had a video up on Facebook talking about the new M4s they built over the winter, so I'd expect them back in the Northern Cup.

Forgive me if this is a daft laddie question but I haven't really followed GT4: are the Ekris cars entered as BMWs, or under the Ekris name? The M4 is a lovely-looking car, and I like that the Ekris machines are still straight-sixes.

IIRC they are usually referred to as "Ekris M4" on the entry lists. Makes sense to me, especially with the official BMW M4 right around the corner.

I would have thought there would have to be a set level of modification for the cars to be rebadged, like (I guess?) with Callaway. But I'm really no expert.
