The transparent lollipop?

Does anyone noticed there is a transparent lollipop used by Mclaren on the back of the car, Williams' one was silver, what is it use for?

Well it's to prevent fuel getting at the exhaust which pops up through the top of the bodywork

Well it's what I explained earlier, it's the exhausts exiting out of the top of the bodywork, instead of out of the back of the car, hence the name Periscope exhaust.

However, Ferrari's are QUITE different to the rest of the feild. Theirs actually protrude from the top of the bodywork and look... WEIRD!! but beautiful, naturally.

But yes, the second lolipop is to stop the car going "POOF!!" in a fuel accident.

Well, there I was thinking I had had a mediocre day at the office and I logged on and read this stuff.

Transparent lollipops, periscope exhausts! It never ceases to amaze me what you learn on this site!
