New AER engine for LMP1...



The first announcement was done by DSC... but as Infoscourse reported it now, thanks to Mike Lancaster's interview, I feel free to post a dedicated thread for "techs'shead" and "techs hardcores"...

75° angle instead of conventional 90° (like Audi R8 engine and new Cosworth V8 biturbo)

I don't think direct injection has been developed for high reving engines. The Audi RS4 engine, for instance, has a rev limit of 8250 rpm.

there was a mention of oferring a non-turbo engine for LMP2
