Le Mans 1000 km sunday 9 th november
Accoording to the ACO site the november race will take place on the 9th of november instead of the 2nd and it will be 1000 km race!

I think a 1000 km race on the bugatti circuit will last for about 6 hours?!

Wasn't it always going to be 1000k or less. Afterall it is a pretty short circuit.

This race can last a long time... The track will be certainely wet at this period of the year!

Let's plan 1'30 for a lap (4 kms or so ?) : 250 laps --> that's more than 6 hours !

I'm feeling this hideous, inexorable pull. I vowed I'd save money, I vowed that I could last 12 months before I went to Le Mans again, and yet....!

Just picked this up from DSC, looks like there has been a bit of early interest in the race, looks like this little lot have already told the ACO that they will be attending:-
Racing for Holland Dome Judd with two cars Audi Sport UK Audi R8 Lister Storm Racing Nasamax Taurus Sports Lola Courage Competition Durango Prodrive Saleen Larbre Competition Morgan TVR looks like there might be a top quality field........... |

i would expect Champion to bring their car over there as well. Maybe Kondo? JML will go over there for sure, right?
heres my list that i made up that im guessing that will run this race: 1 Champion Audi 1 Audi UK 2 RFH Domes 2 JML Panozes 1 Kondo Dome 1 Lister 1 Nasamax 1 Taurus 2 Factory Courage C60's 2 Pescarolo Courages 1 Durango 1 Norma 2 Factory WR's 1 Intersport MG 1 CMS MG 1 RML MG 1 or 2 Dyson MG's 1 DBA Zytek 1 Courage C65 2 Prodrive Ferrari's 1 Luc Alphand Ferrari 2 Factory Corvettes 1 Xero Comp. Vette 1 Pagani 2 Nash Saleens 2 Konrad Saleens 1 Larbre Viper 1 Carsport/Force One Viper 2 JMB Ferrari 575's 1 Perspective Mosler (if it gets oked by aco) 1 Rollcentre Mosler (if its gets oked by aco) 2 JMB 360's 10 Porsches 2 Factory TVR's 1 factory Morgan 2 Risi 360 1 Auto Palace 360 that totals: 60 cars. I would actually expect only around 45 that would enter, but you never know |
