Why yes, you are correct in that it was last updated 4/4/07. But the beauty of such a list is that it is official and can/will be updated by the LMS and still be accessible through the link.

Because of the amount of entrants vs limitations to grid size by rule , there are teams that have been excluded from participating at all of the races and therefore altered their program to adjust for it.

I think Valencia was the only race on the calendar which can accept less cars than are on the season entry list, the rest are alright I believe

Until the official list is updated ^^ is more or less the field for Nurburgring

Interlagos will also be a reduced field, with the track length at only 4.309km.

A big question for me is whether there will be any post-Le Mans casualties in the entry list, either with money situations changing or problems that were highlighted by the 24 hours and 2 weeks not being enough time to fix them.

Sadly I suspect Audi's dramas pretty much confirm they won't be coming along.

A possibly even bigger question is whether to undertake the road trip to watch the race in the flesh? Anyone got any experience of what the track's like from a spectator's viewpoint, and indeed any ideas of a place to stay around there - there and back in a day, while perfectly doable, might be pushing it a bit.

The track is nice for spectators although some stands at the back end won't be accessible. The facilities are very nice and there is enough camping/hotels/Center parcs in the neighborhood to stay at a reasonable price.

Will Arena Zytek return to LMS?

i would say it is very likely that arena and bruichladdich will return to the LMS, these are two teams who have shelled out a huge amount of money, arena and bruichalddich both have the capability to get wins in their respective classes.

Just to remind you guys, there's a 'minor' (or you'd think it was, given the coverage everywhere, including here) gt event at monza this weekend.

The #24 Noel del Bello Courage and #26 Ranieri Randaccio Lucchini are no longer on the list. 51 cars remaining.

- Johansson off, Chilton back in at Arena.
- No Liddell at Bruichladdich
- Martin Short listed as 3rd driver at Rollcentre

Lucchini, they could have wrapped up a huge number of LMP2 sales if they'd hit the ground running, now it's an also ran.

Missed opportunity.

Summed that one up quite neatly. Revisiting 2004 on DSC a couple of nights ago I was struck by how much optimism and promise came with that car. A real shame it seems to have come to naught. Here's hoping it comes out of the woodwork later in the year - Vallelunga 6 hours anyone?

the luchinni probably almost certainly had the potential to be a class winner but by the looks of it a lack of funding and development meant this car ended up being another turnip, much like the zulltech, ah well at least the luchinni got to race though

The Lucchini (first real LMP2 car) was very promising but it lacked testing and development. Major problem was the Pankl gearbox (Are they switched to Hewland or X-trac?). In the meantime the car is already 4 years old and I don't think it's still competative.

But Pilbeam have sold a couple of cars, and IMO, that doen't look to have half the potential of the Lucchini.

I love 04s has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I think Shimoda and Chilton might just put pay to that last comment! Especially considering what happened in 2005....
