dear friend, the coverage for Pau race this year has been a disaster, but you can find it at www.ffsa.org. They are, let's say more professional.

Yeah as with last year Gommendy is quick as he was last year as is another Frenchy whose name I cant spell!
Carlin's drivers Courtney and Keohane both qualified 4th in their respective groups I'm told, so they'll start off on row 4!

Not easy to pass around the streets PAU (like at Monaco) So Carlin's chances of repeating their last years success looking slim!

Perhaps they need flames! Remember that tosh said here last year?

Pole time was 7 tenths off Davidson's time last year.

I thought Davidson was doing Pau. Or is it only Macau, Zand, and Brit GP?

Thats a shame , i would have been good to get to Davidson in a race car sometime this year , but i suppose at the end of the day when you get a good chance with F1 team , you have to go along with what ever they say.

Shame they couldn't at least let him defend his title of European F3 Champion.

It sounded like a pretty exciting race too - Courtney did a great job of holding off Matsuura towards the end of the race.
Shame there weren't any more British F3 drivers competing.

Matsuura was a sparring partner of Anthony's when they were professional karters on the International arena in Biesse karts. He's a really funny guy too! we bumped into him at Kerpen at the World karting champs there last year. He's a very good racer too! Pity he's not over here, he's as good as Sato, but stays on the track more often!

Pau post-mortum yeah pity more Brit's dont take the French on at the PAU Grand Prix. This was 62nd year of the race which used to be in the Grand Prix F1 calender then it became a Formula 2 annual event. My favourite driver of all time (Jimmy Clark) won there in both classes.

Now it's a classic F3 event, at the foot of the Pyrennes it's always baking hot! last year Anthony was so busy hydrating himself he forgot to make a last minute 'pit-stop' (to empty his tank) on the warm up lap remembered it was a 45 minute race!!! Perhaps that's why he broke the circuit lap record trying to make it to the end of the race!

Interestingly Anthony's (British) win was very popular there for some odd reason (understandable by some local ex-pats) However his record of 1.11.898 only just beat the 2000 winners (Chochet) time of 1.11.930.

This year's winner Derlot returned his Signature Team to it's usual winning ways! His fastest lap was a mere 1.13.183.

Better send out some 'good Brits' for next years Grand Prix to show 'em how to do it!
