Thanks for the last note....

I think I read that Roth is only running the 2 mile and more tracks the rest of the season, because he doesn't have the other wing package for the smaller ovals, etc.

BTW, GP Racer....

Are you still planning to come in for the USGP???

We'll have to hook up if you are....

Keep me apprised....

Amazing isn't it?!

It seems that there are more people who would rather talk silly season ****, instead of actually watching and enjoying races and making picks! They would rather fantasize about the "ultimate" series that doesn't, and never has, existed...

Here are the "Results Thus Far" after Texas Qualifying:

1. GP Racer -- 8 points
2. Down FOrce -- 7 points
3. Tim Northcutt - 6 points
4. Marcus -- 5 points

A Few Notes:

1. No one picked Franchitti for the Pole

2. Tim N. was closest to the Pole Speed (only because I picked the lowest speed...none of us thought it would be under 210 mph)

3. GP Racer & Down FOrce kicked butt in this section...GP picked 3 of the 6 in the actual starting spots (Rice, Kanaan, & Helio) for 6 pts., followed by Downforce, who had 4 of the 6, but only 1 in the correct spot for 5 pts.

No one cgot the "slowest qualifier"...BTW, since Barron didn't set a time, and Sharp was the slowest, I would've credited both...'cause I'm a generous guy!!!

Down FOrce & Marcus both pickets the top Toyota Qualifier:

Helio Caastroneves

and GP Racer Picked the top "Chevy-worth":

Ed Carpenter

NOTE TO MARCUS....

Since we are going to do the other "Race Weekends like this, can we combine the "Indy 500" "Pole Day" Predictions points with the race results to give us a "Revised Standings"????

That way, we'll have "Apples to Apples" comparisons for the rest of the season....

Thanks, guys, and good luck on Saturday Night....

These picks were entered past the deadline, sqw2...

But from your picks, I'm certain that you were not aware that qualifying was last night, either.....

I'll let the mods and the other participants in the "Pick ems' on the Forum weigh in....I'll let you rule on this....

There are three options:

1. do not allow the picks

2. allow only the Race Picks

3. alow both, since from his picks, he apparently was not aware of last night's results....

If the Quals points are counted, sqw2 would have accumulated 8 pts...

2pts each for Kanaan & Herta in the "Rows", plus Castroneves as the "Top Toyota"

1 pt each for Rice & Castroneves in the "Rows" but not in the right spots....

I'm easy one way or another...he has participated in the past....

Just jot me PMs or replies here...whichever you prefer....

Did anybody playing the IndyCar Fantasy 5 game notice George Mack's name in there?! Whats up with that?

I picked him to win!

Tim, there is to much money riding on this forum game, sgw2 is out!

Just kidding, let him play all the way, we need the players!

I bet the family jewels of my only son and heir to the Northcutt fortune!!!!

(sure wouldn't bet MINE...especially after my whopping 1 point from the "Indy 500 Race Thread!"...although my quals picks were pretty decent...)

I have no problem with it one way or another....it's just for fun among IRL friends anyway....

Thanks for your input, GP Racer...
