Why Midland ?
Has anyone thought of it to be a rather odd name for a F1 Team.
What does it represent if anything. If they were to take over jordan. Jordan-Midland-Toyota. It just sounds ridiculous. As does Midland-Toyota Doesnt sound like an F1 Team to me. I think for the pure marketing of it, they should stick with the Jordan name if the team was every bought out, because the name "Midland" as a f1 team name makes me sick |

I'll agree 'Midland' isn't exactly an ideal name for an F1 team, I expect the headlines have already been written for all the puns it conjures up.
But as it's the name of the company what can you do? I expect the team's PR guys will have to work overtime on this one. |

Well, clever writers will have a field day with the name, and they're going to need a budget as big as all outdoors to make any difference to their on track performance. But I suspect this has been thought about and discussed already, the cachet of being in the big league more than compensating for the occasional bad pun.

What's wrong with the name?
This thread is very strange! As for the comment that the thought of it "makes me sick", jason, I think that's tad extreme |
