Chigley should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Who put the lights out?

I'm assuming that apart from impoverished OAP's the rest of the marshalling community have emigrated to warmer climes and are keeping their toes cool in a swimming pool whilst slurping the odd shandy.

No Ian, I spent yesterday at Thruxton's post 15 watching four Fun Cup Beetles tearing round. My toes were cooled by the wind rather than a swimming pool!!!

There was me thinking the stagnation of this forum was an indication that it was in it's death throes. Is there anyone else apart from AJ alive out there?

I'm alive and I still look in from time to time, but it sadly is almost the end for this place.
Shame really.

Yes, in reality most folks have emigrated to Facebook and/or Twitter. Social networks are the thing. Forums are so last century .

It's only happened since circuit radio systems went digital. That killed all the requests for scanner info .......

Seriously, it looks like FaceTwit has sucked the lifeblood out of this forum.

Shame ...

Its still a very useful planning tool. I gained a lot of information prior to my recent Bathurst trip courtesy of 10/10ths. Long may it reign!

Horses for courses. FB and suchlike is great for discussion between people you know, the sort of thing that used to happen here as well. Here is better for discussion with people you don't know, and as Mike stated, fact finding.

I suspect some of the MSA 'be careful what you discuss' causes people to be careful what they put in a more visible arena as well.

Most of us must be catching up on the list of jobs at home before 2017 starts and our attention gets diverted again.
Homebase & B & Q do not have much of a circuit in the their car park - yet!

Still here, but in semi-hibernation until the 24h in April (or, hopefully, the training day) - apart from a small job list back dated from the beginning of the year...

I'm only an occasional visitor these days but it is reassuring to know that there's still some signs of life all be it only a faint pulse.

It did get a bit whingy - I'm not entirely innocent of that either - so since there's a few of us left, we could give it a go at picking it up again.

I'm still looking in but I probably shouldn't be. My health means I've had to give up marshalling so I guess for me it's just nostalgia.

Now, I can not think what it is that makes you lot believe that this is a quiet time of year. Come on!

There is the annual Marshal's Pantomime to organise, we need nominations for this year's production, and a full cast list to fill, so get those thinking woolly hats on and give us you ideas.

In addition we also have the Christmas Poetry completion to run, and we can surely look forward to some truly inspiring entries in the near future.

Do not forget the 'Marshal of the Year Photograph' to judge. There are plenty of fine shots available on various web sites to choose from.

What about the 'Best Christmas Cracker Joke', another great way to pass the winter evenings. Submissions please.

Shame on you Chigley for suggesting the lights had dimmed here, we have only just begun to work.

OK1 I'm only trying to help.
