10 Tenths Fans Competition 2004!
Welcome to the second year of the Fans predictions competition. This is to be run separately from the normal predictions competition that R runs and we all know and love. This year Super Tourer and I are running it and hope it is as much of a success as last year.
Below are two sets of questions, the first set, are 10 tie-breaker questions, these will be only used in the event of two or more people tying for the lead after the final round at Japan. To allow every member a fair chance to submit their answers (due to holidays, work commitments etc) your answers must be submitted before Friday's first free practice of the Malaysian GP (19th March 2004). The second set of questions are for each individual grand prix and will be changing every race. Again, they must be submitted before Friday's first free practice of each race weekend. A slight change to this year: Questions may be worth 1 or 2 points. There are 7 regular questions, like last year, but also three extra ‘retirement questions’. These retirement questions work in a similar way to the predictions competition. 2 Points will be awarded for each driver in the correctly predicted retirement order and 1 point shall be awarded for a chosen driver in the first three retirements in a position other than that predicted. e.g. Predicted retirements: 1st retirement: Jarno Trulli 2nd retirement: Mark Webber 3rd retirement: Jenson Button Actual retirements: 1st retirement: Mark Webber 2nd retirement: Christian Klien 3rd retirement: Jenson Button Here the predictions would score zero for Trulli, one for Webber and two for Button - a total of three. With both sets of questions, there will be a total of 16 points up for grabs. Should a race result go to appeal and subsequent result be altered due to that appeal then the results will alter accordingly. Ten tie-break questions
Deadline for tie-breakers: Before first practice of the Malaysian GP. Round one (Australian GP) questions

I'm affraid i don't really understand question N°10 in the tie-break section.
What's it supposed to mean? Do you mean the total amount of laps led by the championship winner? Last edited by ASCII Man; 27 Feb 2004 at 19:02. |

I'm not sure about that one either but I think he means this.
There is a driver this year who will lead the most laps in the 18 F1 races. We have to predict how many laps that will be? I'm not sure, but I think he means this. |

Correct - The driver who has the highest number of laps leading a race - what will his total for the year be?
