PJ Jones will be quicker than Moreno and Kite and so should Giebler... How quick will Hearn be if he eventually gets out on track?

Hearn just stuck it in with an average that will make him safe...High 219s in the heat of the day....
The final hour will tell all... Kite is till struggnling with the balance...sayd his car is different in all 4 turns... Giebler will find the speed, he ent from push to loos in has last runs, thus the sweet spot is somehwere in-between and he ran 221s yesterday. If the track cools, both Milka and marty Roth could be sweating...it migt take a mid-291 avg o make the show here, especially if it gets cloudy later in the day.... Tune in for that final hour, because we will see some bumping today... |

If Moreno would have stood on his Saturday time, Jones might have had a chance to do it, but when he re-qualified at 220, and Roth's high 218 average was the "bubble" speed, they knew they didn't have that much in the bag to do it and there would be no sense in risking the driver or the car to gain 3 mph that simply weren't there to get out of it.

apparently Jim Nabors will not be at Indy this year to Sing Back Home in Indiana , Get well soon Jim.
Not sure if they will get anyone else to sing it or just skip it this year |

They can't skip it!! It certainly won't be the same without Mr. Nabors. There are a number of Indiana-born singers who might be able to pull it off. Wonder what John Mellancamp is up to...

They are doing it as a "Get Well" to Jim....Besides...Everyone in the stands sings it anyway as we hear him sing it....
But I probably won't get the goosebumps that he gives me when he sings it....That goes way back to 1972, and there have been very few years that he couldn't do it, for whatever reason Get well soon, Jim...We'll miss you this year... |

The big question now is, which one of these 33 drivers is going to win on Sunday? Two of the last three Indy winners have done it from the pole, and the man sitting there for this weekend's race has (kind of) drank the milk twice in his career. As unspectacular of a prediction it might be, I think that Helio Castroneves is going to make it three victories at the Brickyard.

I have to think that Dan Wheldon will once again be victorious, just pipping Danica for the win.
Oh boy remember last year's final few laps! amaaazing! |

The track is currently wet but it has stopped raining.
Hopefully we're not in for a rain interrupted or delayed event. |
