Get paid to sprint

Hard to believe, but yes.
Did you know that Nottingham Sports Car Club have introduced a Loyalty Scheme for 2010 where you will be paid a cheque for £100 at the end of the 2010 season at the Clubs AGM in November if you join the club as a competitive member and compete in 4 nominated events during this coming season. It's as simple as that!
Your choice is from a single lap sprint Curborough in May, a single lap sprint at Curborough in June, a sprint at MIRA in August, or either or both of 2 events at Thoresby Park in September. Just pick 4 from the 5 listed above.
You will effectively get one event free! Not bad eh!
For more details on dates and membership forms go to www.gosprinting.co.uk

its a rebate scheme, so the thread title is missleading because your not being paid to sprint, you getting money back if you do enough, you will whatever you do be out of pocket so your hardly being paid!

I disagree.
If you don't compete you don't get paid. Which ever way you type it up, enter and compete in 4 nominated events as a competitive member of NSCC and they'll pay you £100 at the end of the season. Sounds like a good deal to me, or are you afraid to admit that its a good idea?

LOL. Welcome to the British Semantics Trophy.

You have to pay to sprint, but if you do enough, you'll get some back. Sounds like a worthy scheme and well done to the organisers for recognising commitment, but it's not a scheme from which you will make a profit as an entrant!

A better and more accurate thread title would be 'Pay a bit less to sprint'.
Martian you can work for me any time you want to; give me 3 grand at the start of each month, and at the end I will pay you 2000

Many thanks for all your comments ..........
graham bahr - the thread wasn't deliberately misleading, merley a means to an end, which was to attract the attention of Sprinters on the forum to read the thread, and it undeniably it worked!

Woolley, thanks for the positive feed back, and yes NSCC believe it to be a good idea, only time will tell if it has the necessary effect, no one ever said you could make a profit at sprinting, in my experience Motorsport is one of the fastest ways of emptying a bank account!

MGDavid .. I agree whole heartedly, but would a thread title of "pay a bit less to sprint" have got as many views as this thread has had in less than 24 hours? Hopefully the sums will add up at the end of the season in the accounts.

By the way, the thread has also hit the Uphill Racers forum as well !! but not from me.

It is obviously a loose use of 'pay to sprint' - its a marketing thing isn't it? And a good one, so stop splitting hairs all you spoil-sports!

Compete in NSCC's organised events and you'll get -
- competative event fees
- potentially £100 back at the end of the year (just do 4 events...)
- the chance to race with a good bunch of helpful folk
- well organised and well supported events
- be one of the few clubs to go to the Thoresby Park sprint (which NSCC do a great job of turning into a sprint every September)
