And don't forget Leinders, who is in talks with Racing Engineering and Gabord.
I thought Milka Duno's was a done deal.

two names more for the list.

tiago monteiro also (as kovalainen) with renault support is saying he don't want repeat int 3000, that it was a wrong, and that he want be in the WS next season.
an other he very probable finish in the champ will be ex minardi f1, and ex prost and toyota f1 tester stephane sarrazin.
monterio strong in saulnier alongisde kovalainen.

no bleiben, dulno have the money but the problem is that the team that take milka knows that they will have a car in the last position in all the grids and all the races because venezuelan driver is no less that 3 second slow from next driver.

i suposse that she can get, maybe, the last minute empty drive two days before the start of the champ, if case, of course.

and very important: ALL THE RACES LIVE COVERAGE IN EUROSPORT IN 2003 (source: official website of zele mototsport team, one of the 12 of the champ.)

ah, thanks for the info on lausitzring, i did only look on the website of the track, but there was no confirmation..

what did wagner ebrahim do last year? i do only remeber him driving for KMS in german f3 in 2001 but that wasn´t very good

and the live coverage is a very good thing too! will bring more visitors to lausitzring i think, cos at the moment not many people know about the series at the moment

Hi Jose, great news about Eurosport! But I do worry that with TWS and Formula Renault V6, will they have time to show F3000?!

You can add David Saelens to that list as well.

At the Race&Rally International in Maastricht, Holland he said that his plans for 2003 will be revealed within the next 2 weeks.

When asked if it was open or closed cars, he replied open.
When asked if it was in Spain, he tried to deny but said: 'well, in that area yes'.

What other series than the WS can that be?

hi unofficial, how are you?, please WS silly season again in your web ))))))

it's a joke, a great number of the news that i post here come from a link that i saw yesterday in yor web (italiaracing.net) are they the disappear prorace.it?

eurosport. well i read it only in official zele web, but i can't really confirm 100% till i saw in tje europsport programme, but i hope that 3000 also will be... at least for me is a disaster if this not happen because i love really all the open wheeler categories and this include, of course mylovely int 3000 (i say this because anyone can think that i hate 3000 by my support of WS, but this is an error, i want WS become the eurpean CART (in two or trhee years with maybe 600 HP and diferent chasis suppliers) and 3000 the new talents battle ground)

stranger, it will be a great news for the seris of course if come david sears, great news¡¡¡¡, but i hope that remaining the supernova 3000.
i can only say you one thing. in valencia race (of WS) in october i was in the pit lane and... what see my eyes?... david sears¡¡¡¡ i had some doubts about if i was in an error, but reading that you post... maybe that man that i was thinking was serars... really was sears. (also was ricardo sperafico always beside his brother and patrick friesacher that in that moment i was sure he was go race in the series in 2003)

I would if I had the time At least this forum is great for having a "silly season" thread which can be updated in real-time.

PS. Hi Albert1, congratulations on the great website - since discovering it I've found quite a bit of news I'd not seen elsewhere!

Is Nissans dramatically cheaper than F3000? I wonder why everyone suddenly seems to be flocking to it

It's rumoured to be 1/2 of the price of a season in F3000.

And then you'll race against top names where F3000 is more like 'my daddy has a big wallet' series.

stranger... ehhh... ok.... well.... ahgggggggggggggghhhh, sorry and thousand sorry. i read at the formula 1 speed and i really was thinking that read... david sears... well, so i'm again in the doubt aboput that man of valencia, i think yes he was, but this was the final evidence...

appart of my error, david saelens in the champ?, very nice news really. last year i hope that he was in the champ, but finally it couldn't be. i hope see david in 2003 (david&bas, the belgium army in the series). and no one dutch for the moment... i think that albers could be here instead of DTM, what about stranger?

russfeld, the cost is really some diferent. really in WS there are professionals drivers and pay drivers, so maybe a team of the back can give you a drive for 1/2 of the 3000 budget, but in the other hand you have teams who can pay till 1 million € because they want the best possible drivers.
it's as a small formula 1 with schumacher's (winning money) and yoong's (paying money).

and really is expected that in the next two or three years the budget by car will be, maybe, up from 3000 because the aiming of the series is becoming full professional, so if they wanna be a european CART is evident that engines power will be much more than actually, and this have a prize (and other things as the quality of the drivers, chasis, tyres, etc...).

basically you can do (today) the season by the half of a 3000 year, but in next future you will must be a good driver to be elected by the teams for your quality (or have the double or triple of the budget required for 3000).

the 1/2 than 3000 is only a "promotion cost" because the organizer know that the first step is get drivers from the 3000 (and euro), before getting compite with cart for the ex-formula 1 drivers, or the most important series winners.

un saludo

This is the picture in, say, 5 years time?. The series must attract way more sponsors than last season if the costs are going to rise this much.
Step by step....Remember the Telefonica's sponsorship is only a 3 years deal. I don't want the series to die of success.

yes of course bleiben, i'm agree. but this year 2003 the costs aren't going to rise much, only for the teams that have the money to pay expensive drivers, for the rest in 2003 yet will be very similar to 2002.
and yes i think that it will be a proccess of about 5 years, and now we are starting the second year. so, patient, and hard work for RPM (the organizer).

un saludo

One of the Danish papers linked Magnussen with Carlin the other day. On the other hand he still seems to be aiming for a CART-ride, so....

Is this been confirmed yet? I hope they dont modify it too much - Im away snowboarding for the first round but Ive booked my flights for rounds 2 and 4 so I dont want any cancellations! Im not so bothered about Portugal tho as it clashes with my birthday, as does round 3 at magny cours with a family holiday.
