April 16 BrandsHatch
May 7 Thruxton May 20 Oulton Park (Island) Jun 3 Donington (National) Jun 17 Knockhill Jul 1 Silverstone (International) Jul 15 Mondello Park Jul 29 Croft Aug 11 Snetterton (Night race) Aug 27 Oulton Park (Island) Sep 9 Silverstone (International) Sep 16 Donington (GP) Oct 7 BrandsHatch (Indy) - Mondello is subject to safety approval - The schedule didn't say which circuit the first Brands was! So there you have it, it's in fact last years calendar again! No Rockingham or anything new and only one night race. At least there's no clash with the F1 or CART races. I expect it will probably change quite a bit though before the season starts. |

Well if brands get thier planning permission, the GP ciricuit will be well dug up by next April, so it'll have to be on the Indy track. If Mr Prescott says 'no', then I presume they'll have another go at the GP lap....

I see the night race at Snetts has been moved to make room for Mondello - mmmm... methinks a trip over the water may be in order

as per last year I'd stay away from the Ryanair website until the circuit gets the saftey clearance - does anyone know how major the work needed is and if it is definately in hand?

I'd be pretty surprised if the second visit to Silverstone Int wasn't a night race, I expect they are just waiting to see what the response is to this years round...
Also I think now that Birrane is back in full control of Mondello, there are no obstacles to getting the work done... of course it probably doesn't matter to me as the Clios are tipped to go to Spa instead... RickP:Clio33 |

Yep - have to agree with Rick - after pulling the event from last year's published calendar, the organisers were going to want some form of guarantees before putting it on the calendar again...

The BMP have said they're speaking to Rockingham about the BTCC but it would be 2002 before they race there.
