Jim Clark in his Lotus 49

I reckon that Jim Clark drove his Lotus 49 in 19 events, the last race being at Longford in Tasmania, interestingly enough, it looks like Jim employed the same chassis for his first and last races (namely 49/2 , though, at other times he employed chassis 49/1 as well).

I gather that at Longford the weather may have been rather inclement, Jim was classified in fifth place, the race may have been concluded early. I gather because conditions continued to deteriorate.

It would be quite something to see images of him in each of those 19 races!

Longford
The wet race was in 1968 and the last to be run at Longford road cct. It was not shortened altho conditions were bad. It was won by Piers Courage in a 1.5 L car which was less powerful but more suited to the conditions. I have 8mm movie I filmed of some of the race.
