What do you think of my new colour scheme?
Although I'm happy with my forum colours, I'm thinking about changing the colours of my main site because it's not universally popular! So which of the two below do you prefer? (I'm guessing the one with cyan background but who knows what your taste is like ?)
If you don't like either I would appreciate it if you gave suggestions on how I could improve it. Perhaps some white or grey might look good...? Hope this works |

The green in the above screen isn't supposed to look that sickly, it's supposed to resemble British racing green but the gif distorted it slightly.

from what i can see of those two, I think the 2nd is by far the better.

2nd one is better - I would tone down the Dark Blue a bit - not much though. Apart from that - looking good.

The blue isn't quite that dark, it's bgcolor="blue" and the background is actually cyan instead of light blue. I'll try making the blue lighter anyway.

Come to think of it, maybe I should use the light blue in the background as the main colour (I know, it's supposed to be cyan) and perhaps use white as the background?

That to me is a lot better - you need the strong colour at the back ground so it brings out the other bits.

Do you think "sky blue" (like the "cyan" in the above pictures) would be better than the cyan in the last one?
Thanks very much Nicholas |

The thing is with the second I can't think of any good font colours for links and visited links. Also it's a bit too pale to take up the whole screen. Perhaps I'll try a sort of blue-grey for the menu colour.

Actually I've been thinking again- how about this one:
BTW it's come out wrong- the main box is supposed to be light grey, the links box is (lighter) blue and the background is like the default T-T background. Last edited by Nicholas; 17 Feb 2002 at 09:37. |
