CombeMarshal should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Location of Circuits & Google earth

Right, there must someone on here that has already done it!
On google earth you add little push pin things to places, has anyone done this with all the race circuits in the Uk and if so is it possible to make it so that we can use the pins our selves??

Cheers, Lee

I've done Thruxton and Brands. Brands is in detail and there is a bike meeting on. You can zoom in and read Ducati on the top of a truck in the back of the pits. I also found a red car and white transit on circuit. Thruxon is not in detail but you can clearly see the shape of the circuit in the fields.
I have pin-pointed them on my Google Earth but I don't know how you let everyone else see the pins. Dial up users beware, it may need alot of time! Ours was slow even on broadband but much better since the pc got a memory & graphics upgrade!

Rockingham is a clear picture also, clear enough for a cheeky avatar thief anyway!!

Off the top of my head...
Cadwell isn't detailed, Croft isn't, Donington is, Mira is, Silverstone is

Thanks a lot, Lee!

After seeing your post, I spent two hours in the office today checking Google Earth to see which circuits I could locate without resorting to the name-search function. My partners commented that they had never seen me display such diligence before.

Aintree is in good detail, as is Harewood.

dunno about pins... but if you can get a postcode for the circuit it should get you close.

I was wondering this myself earlier today and started sticking pins in the map. I'm not sure whether this will work but try this link to my file of markers http://www.friendlydragon.co.uk/Circuits.kmz

I haven't got all of them in there but there's quite a few.

youngoldy has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Nurburgring is pretty clear now when you zoom right in, has the old new 'Ring if you get what I mean, but its still pretty good...

All,
I found and marked all the circuits I go to, but the Google Earth Community seems chaotic to me, and I never got to grips with how to post them there. When all the Earth and their mother seems to post a "this is where I live" pin, there seems no point anyway.

Off topic, slightly, but maybe you haven't got this Googlepin: 51 degrees 07' 00.58"N 0 degrees 32' 00.32"W. If you watch TV and a well known motoring programme, you may recognise the shape of the buildings from the intro, but with no over written logo.

M Coupe should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
This is a file I collated from various online resources and from personal knowledge at the beginning of the year.
I'm currently updating it with a lot of US oval circuits someone on the Autosport forms sent me, but this covers most of Europe. (There are over 900 circuits and factories etc in the file)

Right click and save as HERE
