I was hoping to get along to this as I know some people who are racing. Is there anywhere I can catch up with how things are going? Is there live timing or English language commentary to be had anywhere?

I just wanted to look out on the web, but I'm lucky enough to follow the race live on DSF (I fell by chance on this broadcast !)...
Opel is in the lead, with Karl Wedlinger and Manuel Reuter on the other car, the Viper was stucked two minutes for a stop and go while in the lead. Sounds a little bit like a Le Mans classification (Peter 'flying' Dumbreck, Christian Abt, Franck Biela, Uwe Alzen, Pedro lamy, etc... !!!). |

Poor Hans.
Did Biela take the R8 out on the 'ring? Did he break Bellof's lap record for the Nordschliefe? |

Bellof record can never be broken,as that circuit no longer exists, part of it is under the pits! The one they are using includes part of the GP circuit.
Fantastic coverage, shows what can be done. Also shows Brands Hatch how to do a pits walkabout. There must have been about 10,000 people on the grid 20mins before the start, and people were allowed on parts during the parade lap. They were all in places of safety for lap1. |
