Race probably deserved a 7 or maybe even an 8, but it loses 2 points for being such a horrid track.

A 7, probably more thanks to the weather than to the track itself.
The race was quite enjoyable until the appearance of the safety car ruined it for me. Why do you need a safety car to remove a car (Ericsson's Sauber) that is still in 1 piece? Is there anything you can't do under Virtual SC? Maybe just maybe the SC call was right for Kvyat's car, but even that could have been dealt with with a VSC. And why does it take SOOO LOOOOONG to get back to racing? If I want to see artificial close racing, I can tune in to NASCAR. We don't need that here, not even in a race in the US. |

9 for me, a little rain at the end would have made it a 10.

Oh, 8. I'll knock two off as there was some underwhelming DRS absurdity that passes for "racing" but there was still alot of good stuff to chew on as well.

8, about the best GP of the season. The weather was a factor but that's part of what it's all about. It really reminded me of an IndyCar race, with the caution periods, virtual and real and the unpredictability of the race itself.

An 8 from me, too. I found that enjoyable, with lots of good battles, particularly in the second half. Slightly let down by (a) a few retirements due to the usual unexplained and/or inexplicable mechanical reasons, (b) some pushy-shovey driving, and (c) that gawdawful "virtual safety car" nonsense.

9. Wow. That was the race of the season(I doubt any of the remaining races will top it). Reminded me of Bahrain last year. It was so unpredictable. The weather helped out - obviously. Some great racing. It perhaps could have gone to either Red Bull or Ferrari. Loads of lead changes. Plus, we got the WDC crowned.
It's one of Tilke's better tracks. You can seem to race there. |

10 I thought it was an exciting race .. The circuit throws everything possible at the drivers from a challenge point of view ...
The weather was all over the place of course, high winds at the same time as very wet conditions .. The drivers love this place and get a great welcome in Austin .. |

7 Under the medium for, I think, the first time this year. If not for the rain, this would've been a yawner.
I do like the circuit for F1, and there was more "racing" than the rest of the season but just ended up being "meh". I don't know, my mood is abysmal this week. Carry on. |

9. This and Hungary were action the whole way. I didn't know who'd win until the very end, and that's how all the good races are. More rain next season please.

Mixed conditions+wide race track=an enjoyable race and a shot in the arm F1 needs at this time. What's not to like? All the drivers should receive a pat on the back for that one |

That was, quite honestly, the best race I've watched in years and is up there with the best races I think I've ever watched (in 33 years of watching). I was glued to it. Action, intrigue, drama everywhere. My heart rate was up & down like a yo-yo.
10 from me. |

Yep an easy 10 from me as well.
Would like to add a couple of points if I could because of how the circus handled the rain delay the day before. For the first time maybe ever they tore down the wall that separates them from the fans. For a lot of reasons, this was a special weekend. |

Very enjoyable race, wetness and SCs do tend to improve the show.

Absolutely average I thought, not a nice track and far too many virtual and real safety car periods - why does it take so long to clear debris, remove a car to a safe area, get back to racing with the backmarkers having to do a full lap - it is a farce. At least with NASCAR they clear the problems quickly, get back to racing quickly - Indycar drivers, last time I watched it are able to do rolling restarts, all too often F1 drivers are hopeless in comparison at restarts.

seriously though, given the conditions all weekend at COTA, i think they did a great job clearing up incidents and having shorter than normal SC periods. actually think Merc got caught out by how quickly the Hulkenberg VSC came in as they failed to pit Hamilton. |
